Digital marketing has taken the world by storm. Gone are the days when companies would have to spend thousands of bucks on traditional marketing tools such as advertisements on billboards and TVCs; now, a simple advertisement on social media or any other platform receives more attention than all the traditional methods combined.

There are many different types of digital marketing. These include search engine optimization, content marketing, email marketing, influencer marketing, etc. According to Digital Marketing Guru Vishal Jain, influencer marketing is becoming one of the most popular forms of digital marketing nowadays. Influencer marketing is a type of social media marketing that involves endorsements and product mentions from influencers i.e. individuals who have a significant amount of following and are considered to be an expert in their niche. 

Influencer marketing is somewhat similar to celebrity endorsements. “We’ve seen it earlier too; celebrities endorsing a product has a huge impact on a consumer’s choice. Replace these celebrities with influencers and you will have one of the most popular types of digital marketing nowadays,” says Vishal. 

According to him, the reason why influencer marketing is becoming increasingly popular is that “it is a cheap yet effective method of marketing. People tend to listen to those who they look up to. Which is what makes influencer marketing an effective tool”.

However, he also believes that in order to be an actual influencer, one must always be true and genuine to their audience. “The best way to be a social media influencer is to know what kind of content the audience expects. My success mantra has always been to be original rather than following someone. If you create something unique on your own and if the content hits the audience in the right way, then nobody can stop it from becoming a havoc on the internet.”

Vishal Jain is a digital marketing expert and the CEO of Sunshy Group of Companies. He stepped into the industry 4 years ago after he dropped out of college and worked day and night to fulfill his dream of starting his own business, Sunshy Digital Media Agency. Vishal currently owns 5 companies, out of which 3 – Sunshy Digital Media Agency, Realstagram, and Social Media Specialist – belong to this category. 

Besides this, he is also the author of an eBook, Journey To A Million Dollars, in which he shared all the tips and tricks he uses to make his clients’ Instagram more popular to generate more leads, sales, and collaboration work. Vishal is also an Instagram influencer with a following of more than 250k followers.

What makes him stand apart is the fact that he did not receive any formal education about marketing or digital marketing for that matter. All his skills are self-taught using Youtube videos and articles on Quora and yet he is better than many others in the same field. Vishal is now a regular contributor at Quora too, where he helps young entrepreneurs who are willing to start their own business but are struggling to do so, his answers have been read by over 1.5 million people on quora already. He also writes blogs at www.journeytoamilliondollars.com/blog  and have more than 20,000 subscribers. He is also going to start his youtube channel this year to give people knowledge about personal finance and modern day skills through which they can make money. 

Vishal’s other businesses include Sunshy Enterprises, a manufacturing unit that produces industrial goods and Sunshy Jewels, an exclusively handpicked and handcrafted jewellery line.

“The first step to being successful is not doing what it takes to make money, rather doing what it takes to persevere through the difficulties and keep on the path to your dreams”. Vishal’s story serves as a huge lesson for us in these terms. He is definitely an inspiration for young individuals all over the world struggling with their careers.
