Study: CBD is Helpful in Treating Symptoms Related to Autism

A few studies and researches from reputed researchers are hinting that CBD can be used to treat autism. Autism is affecting one out of 68 children born in the US. There are many facts and evidence extracted from the studies which are considering CBD-rich cannabis helpful to treat autism.

Pharmaceutical drugs made from cannabis are already being given to the children suffering from epilepsy in the United States. Epilepsy produces epileptic seizures in the brain. This condition of the brain can be related to the etiological mechanism that leads to non-epileptic autism.

Clinical research to test cannabis’ effect on treating autism was published in the Frontiers in Neurology. The researchers gave CBD enriched oil to the patients who suffered from autism. The results found from CBD’s interaction with autism were very impressive. The patients showed many neurological improvements in themselves including good social interaction and communication.

Autism is a serious developmental disorder that causes many severe conditions such as challenges with social skills, a problem in interaction and communication. The autism patients tested with CBD oil showed a lack in these conditions.

CBD cannabidiol based cannabinoid are proving to be neuroprotectant that make brain functionality better. The neuroprotectant also works as an anti-inflammatory agent. The studies are making a connection between CBD and neuroprotectant in the brain.

Another study carried on autism patients by researchers in Brazil also gave the same results. The researchers had given CBD rich cannabis Sativa with a THC ratio of 75 to 1 for nine months. The patients showed some level of improvement in themselves against autism.
