Nikki Gal has many titles: fashion model, entrepreneur, digital artist, fashion designer, and mental health advocate, to name a few. About five years ago at twenty years old, she decided to pivot her career from modeling to launch multiple interconnected companies. Having an interest in the arts from a young age, being familiar with creative expression was a core part of Gal’s life. This guided her to transform her artistic passions into a professional and innovative lifestyle. The model turned entrepreneur has never had her eyes on one goal or mission. She continued to expand her career and visions by building herself from the ground up as a self-made woman in today’s society.

The brunette with green eyes made her professional debut in the modeling industry at just fifteen years old. Gracing international fashion magazine covers such as Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, and Glamour furthered her modeling passion, which motivated her to pursue other creative outlets outside of the modeling industry. “I wanted to create and explore more for myself, rather than stay in one place”, Gal says. In 2019, she founded her inaugural company, digital design brand See Thru Nikki, when her art pieces went viral via social media. See Thru Nikki has created a name for itself becoming a recognized brand due to its vibrant and eye-catching artistic style. Since then, the brand has gained massive amounts of popularity on social media, reaching millions of views and attracting a wide-range audience. This ignited Gal’s spark to keep going within her many creative endeavors and projects.

In 2021, Gal shifted her career mindset to mental health advocacy, creating her non-profit platform, Raw Talk with Nikki Gal. “I want women to feel like themselves through their candid voices”, Gal explains. The platform showcases raw and informative conversations pertaining to mental health and other health related topics. Gal’s mission and work to establish a shift in how we view mental health has paid off as she successfully interviewed over 160 women in under 2 years on the platform and gained an international audience in over 40 countries.

Gal also takes great interest in advocating for mental health outside of her own platform, where she has participated as a guest speaker on various mental health podcasts over the past 2 years. “Mental health is much more than what we feel, it’s about healing and identifying with ourselves”, Gal adds. “If I can help women genuinely identify with themselves that’s when I know I’m serving my role as a mental health advocate.”

Over the past 2 years, Gal launched 3 more companies, a photography company, a clothing brand and a content consulting company. Pursuing many creative realms, she wishes to keep them interconnected. “Part of my branding technique is keeping a cohesive theme within my companies, as I don’t wish for the companies to be so different to the point where my audience or myself becomes unable to recognize them”.

Formulating and developing 5 cohesive companies in your twenties can become a task, especially when putting a focus on balance. Implementing a firm and structured balance within any business or lifestyle is necessary, especially in Gal’s case. “My professional ethic and performance is all brain work, so I have to understand what my mind needs at all times”, Gal shares. “I’m very self-aware.” Waking up as early as 5:30am every morning keeps Gal on top of her multi-faced schedule.

Maintaining a steady schedule within practicing balance has helped Gal productively navigate both her personal and professional career. “I advise every woman in business to take time out to find their own routine that suits their professional and personal needs,” Gal says. From her business life to her personal life, Gal wishes women to feel comfortable within their own shift and balance. She is a firm believer in the power of the female— and with good balance, utilizing your passions and maintaining a strong work ethic, anything is possible.

In present day, Gal plans on launching more creative ideas, including digital campaigns and visual media projects. Within wearing her many professional hats, her journey successfully continues to inspire other women of all ages to prioritize their dreams to build themselves and grow their own creative career.
