With fall comes colder temperatures and shorter days, which means winter will be here before you know it! So, if you’re starting to miss summer already, consider extending it a little longer.

How can you customize your own seasons in this way? With a trip to the all-inclusive resort Kalon Surf in Costa Rica, you can transport yourself back to the blissful warmth of summer.

Why autumn is the perfect time to visit Costa Rica

As a tropical country located near the equator, Costa Rica offers ideal temperatures nearly year-round. In September, you can expect daily highs in the mid-70s or low 80s. In October, lows can still reach 62 degrees Fahrenheit, with average highs of 71 degrees.

As the days shrink and nights get longer in North America, Costa Rica also offers 12 hours of reliable daylight year-round (give or take 30 minutes or so), due to the country’s advantageous position near the equator.

Another great thing about Costa Rica in the fall is that it’s the low season for tourists, meaning if you want all the best experiences without the crowds and the long lines that go with them, autumn is the perfect time to visit. In particular, November is part of the “shoulder season” between the high and low seasons. At this time, the Pacific Coast gets increasing amounts of sun, while the tourist hoards have yet to descend, and the country’s busiest tourist season typically lasts from December to April.

Kalon Surf is ideally located on the Pacific Coast, near Dominical and Manuel Antonio on the famous Osa Peninsula, one of the most biodiverse and naturally wild destinations in the world.

Kalon Surf combines relaxation with adventure

Don’t want to sit on a beach for a week and just do nothing? If you’d like to combine low-key beach time with adventure, then Kalon Surf is the perfect destination for you this fall.

The exotic resort’s week-long packages include personalized surfing lessons that meet you at your level, from beginner to expert. Passionate, qualified coaches not only teach you proper technique and methodology, but also ensure you’re having fun.

“It’s okay if you’ve never surfed before or if you never plan to surf again,” says Kjeld Schigt, founder of Kalon Surf. “That’s true for plenty of our guests, but plenty of our visitors have so much fun that they end up getting hooked for life!”

In addition to surfing and going to the beach, Kalon Surf offers numerous fun activities. “There’s fishing, horseback riding, ziplining, rainforest tours, and trips to waterfalls,” Schigt says. “We also do coffee tastings, yoga and pilates sessions, informal cooking classes, massages, and more. It’s a full, holistic experience that prioritizes relaxation and revitalization.”

The escape that feels like home

Kalon Surf provides what Schigt calls a “comfort luxury” experience. “You’ll feel like you’re at home,” he explains. “It’s not a cold hotel where guests are isolated from each other. We’re a community, and we won’t just welcome you — we’ll take care of you.”

If you’re looking to meet new friends and enjoy a social experience, then Kalon Surf is also your best bet. “Our guests eat meals together,” Schigt says. “It’s like a dinner party, and this social aspect is very important. Even if you come alone, you won’t feel lonely.”

When the time comes to sit down for meals, Kalon Surf’s guests enjoy gourmet dishes. “Our chefs make everything from scratch using only the highest quality organic ingredients,” says Schigt. “Everything is fresh and local.”

No matter how you choose to spend your time at Kalon Surf, you won’t ever have to worry about a thing. “This is your special time for you, so let us do the planning and worry about the details,” Schigt says. “We make it our mission to help you check out of all the ‘busy-ness’ and check into yourself. Kalon Surf is an escape; a refuge. When you return home, you’ll feel refreshed and energized.”

Surrender to paradise

Picture pristine sand beaches and rolling blue waves. Exotic birds sing in the jungle, and dolphins swim past in the ocean, along with the occasional whale or orca now and then. And a beautiful wooden villa set high on a mountain overlooks it all — you’ve just pictured Kalon Surf.

Surround yourself with mind-blowing beauty while surrendering your cares. This fall, it’s time to let Kalon Surf take care of you. The memories you make from this second summer will last the rest of your life.
