How MintPass is Revolutionizing the Travel Industry by Founder, Sam Simmons

The travel workflow, from inception to reflection, can often feel scattered and disjointed navigating across multiple platforms and mediums. Let’s dissect the journey: You decide to take a trip, perhaps without a destination in mind, and you dive into exhaustive research. This may include scouring social media, contacting friends for advice, sifting through blogs and reviews sites, all to maybe put forward some semblance of a vague itinerary comprised of activities you don’t even know if you’ll enjoy.

Consider then the aftermath of travel. Once experiences have been had, which in aggregate become some of life’s greatest memories, we so poorly preserve these snapshots in time for future commemoration. We’ll bury images away in our mobile phones or if there’s room in the luggage, bring back souvenirs to collect dust on a shelf. Some of these memories may go to social media, but so easily gets lost in the digital abyss of social media noise.

Being an avid traveler myself, I knew there had to be a better way to preserve and share my memories while utilizing the experiences of friends to inspire my future travel decisions. This is what we’ve created at MintPass, a companion app for gamified travel logging and experience sharing targeted to millennial travelers, those like myself looking for a place to curate, share, and preserve travel experiences in a single platform destination.

Studies show that 85% of millennials base travel decisions on social media influence, while 97% actively post during their journeys. There is a massive market in inspiring, and being inspired, through travel, but it’s a market without a single hub for transacting. MintPass provides a single, cohesive repository for travel sharing, both to preserve your own experiences as well as to be inspired by the experiences of others.

Our goal isn’t merely to be a new place for travelers to store memories. We’re building an ecosystem meant to make travel a part of identity, where your travels say as much about where you’ve been as who you are, with these experiences controlled by the user and designed with permanence in mind. With MintPass, your travel memories become your legacy, with seamless tools for sharing, commemorating, and celebrating with friends.

We aim to utilize technology to disrupt every aspect of travel for the better. By digitizing and complementing existing travel behaviors, MintPass aims to become the ultimate travel companion app improving the entire travel process from planning before travel, enjoyment during travel, to commemoration after travel, bringing value to users beyond the bookends of the experience itself. Most importantly, as a team of passionate travel enthusiasts, we’re building this for ourselves and others like us with an open invite to help us shape the future of what we are creating.

MintPass is the ultimate companion app to curate, share, and preserve travel experiences digitally. Collect one-of-a-kind digital souvenirs from every flight you take to build your travel profile. Share with friends, compete on leaderboards, unlock achievements, and receive customized travel recommendations all in a single destination. Sign up for the waitlist today at www.mintpass.com.
