The Covid-19 pandemic has been a traumatic time in the world, with people losing their lives, jobs, and other valuables. The Covid vaccines provided a glimmer of optimism that things would return to normal, but they also presented a challenge due to the lack of education about the vaccine and its benefits. Many people were misinformed about vaccinations and, as a result, were wary of getting them. Thankfully, mobile technology is now widespread and popular all around the globe. In addition, the number of mobile phone subscriptions has surpassed 7 billion. In the United States, smartphone penetration has increased to well over 80% in the last 15 years.

Nura Ikhalea, a dedicated healthcare practitioner, is striving to eradicate covid by educating the public about vaccinations, devising a new vaccination strategy, and more. Nura is recognized for her studies such as the growing need for an alternative vaccination approach in the face of shifting hepatitis B epidemiology and the significance of Big Data in precision public health. She is extremely detail-oriented, which allows her to detect substantial improvements in the quality of healthcare, and she is now working on the idea that we may reach Sars-cov-2 Herd Immunity by employing superior, persuasive technological theory.

Technology Conquers All

Many aspects of human activity, such as health-related behavioral traits, have been profoundly altered by the widespread adoption and acceptance of mobile technology, specifically cellphones. Smartphone use has been found to alter lifestyles, particularly through the use of apps and engaging aspects. Weight-loss initiatives, cancer survivors, meditation and wellness, exercise, and medication adherence have all benefited from such apps. This popularity of smartphones may be linked to their proximity to users and mobility, both of which contribute to the success of such applications.

A behavioral theory is required for a thorough knowledge of how an app is used to produce an intended behavioral change. There is evidence that the theoretical underpinnings of public health behavior interventions are connected to their success. These ideas can aid in the creation of treatments that enhance health and behaviors by predicting results.

The Technological and Covid Know-How

The pandemic of COVID-19 has resulted in a high rate of mortality among Americans. The effectiveness of a significant remedy (COVID vaccine) to suppress this virus is being scrutinized, and it is impacting herd immunity. It has been demonstrated that there is variation in COVID vaccination reluctance in the United States (23%) and that this diversity exists across race as well as sex.

Perhaps one of the most impactful strategies for increasing COVID vaccine uptake in the United States include targeted communication using mobile applications to hesitant populations, the use of community and religious leaders, accountability, and lawful or legally mandated vaccination; nevertheless, many have made complaints that mandatory vaccination is very daunting.

Nura realizes that there is a critical need for efficient responses to the present development and rapid spread of COVID-19, which is triggered by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Mass vaccination has been a very successful approach in some parts of the world in order to prevent the spread of many infections, thus safeguarding the most susceptible population groups that are unable to build antibodies, such as individuals with immunodeficiencies or a compromised immune system due to underlying health or chronic conditions.

As more health practitioners appear to favor the use of mobile applications, it is critical to have a tested and credible mechanism on the use of technology, particularly smartphones, in propagating health and prohibiting illness as a vehicle for public health interventions, as suggested by Nura in her research study on effectively utilizing technology to achieve Sars-cov-2 Herd Immunity.

Nura proposes that a customized app be constructed by a team comprised of public health professionals, IT consultants, and content developers based on her research findings. A mobile health app must be created with a deep comprehension of how an intended behavioral change is accomplished using an app that demands a behavioral theory in mind.

Nura emphasizes the notion that the United States may achieve Sars-cov-2 Herd Immunity by utilizing superior and compelling technology concepts. She believes that by leveraging appropriate technology, citizens, and healthcare professionals, in particular, will be able to comprehend the insight, interpretation, and mindset of other people towards the uptake of COVID-19 vaccination, making it easier for them to develop instructional materials/content for the app. They can assemble an IT consultant to facilitate the design of an efficient and professional app that will serve as the propagation and feedback tool for this suggestion, as well as enforce a monitoring and evaluation system to determine the impact of the system, and thus the nation can fight and emerge from COVID-19 together as one.
