If you’re new in town or just looking to meet some incredible people, don’t worry. There are lots of fun ways to find friends in Los Angeles!

Join a Running Club or Book Club

Los Angeles has dozens of running clubs. The most common are LA Road Runners Club and the Los Angeles Distance Running club. They hold runs every week throughout the city, so there’s always an opportunity to meet new people who share your interests. There are also book clubs all over Los Angeles. These groups often have a rotating list of books to read each month. Joining one is a great way to connect with people who are passionate about literature, even if you don’t have enough time to read the whole book!

Sign Up for a Class at Your Local Community College

Los Angeles has hundreds of community colleges offering classes in just about every area of study. All you have to do is show up and sign up. You’ll meet dozens of new people along the way, some of whom may become friends or even more! Host a Dinner Party

Running clubs, book clubs, and community college classes are great opportunities to meet new people, but having your dinner party is primarily a social experience. Inviting over 10-15 people means it’s easy to get everyone mingling with one another. If you’re worried about having enough food, just order some pizzas or do taco night!

Take Up a Hobby

The best way to make friends is by finding common interests. There are all kinds of hobbies Los Angeles has to offer. From filmmaking to knitting, there are plenty of opportunities for you to find something new that can activate your social life in LA!

Rock Climbing

Rock climbing is one of the coolest ways to meet new people in Los Angeles. The whole sport works on teamwork and shared experience, making it easy for climbers to bond once they reach the top! So whether you join one of the many rock climbing gyms or take lessons at a local college or high school, meeting up with other climbers will be one of the most exciting parts of your experience.

Volunteer Work

Whether you sign up to tutor children at the library or help out at an animal shelter, there are lots of ways to make a difference in LA and meet new people along the way. Volunteering is as simple as signing up online and showing up with a smile! There will be tons of people who share your interest and want to engage with you. So whether you’re looking for conversation during downtime or romance after-hours – volunteering definitely has something for everyone!

Cooking Classes

Becoming a good cook requires lots of practice, patience, and, most importantly – good company. Luckily in Los Angeles, there are cooking classes available for every skill level, from easy breakfast baking to multi-course French dinners! So if you’re looking to meet new people but would rather keep your fingers away from the fire, cooking classes are a great way to start.

Sign Up for a Yoga Class

Yoga is a great way to get in shape while also connecting with your mind and body. There are various yoga styles out there, from vinyasa flow to children’s yoga. These classes usually have a small, welcoming community, making it easy for you to meet new people!

There are many ways to become friends with someone in Los Angeles. It just takes some initiative. But, if you look around enough, eventually you’ll find something you love doing where you can meet others who share the same interest! The best part about these activities is that they’re all accessible and won’t cost a lot of money so if one doesn’t work out, don’t worry – there will always be plenty of other ways to meet new people!

Use Online Platforms

The Internet is a great way to find potential friends in Los Angeles. Sites like Meetup make it easy for you to see what events people are hosting or going to, and if none of them fit your fancy, you can always create an event yourself! If online dating isn’t really your thing, these platforms are a fun and easy way to meet new people. However, if you’re single and looking for a sugar baby in Los Angeles, there are all kinds of sugar daddy dating apps out in the market that can help you meet your needs in no time.

Clubbing

If you’re the kind of person who prefers dancing and drinking with strangers, then clubbing is for you! There are plenty of places to go out in LA that will keep you busy all night long. The best part about it – everything is new and exciting, so there’s no shortage of people to meet along the way. Whether you’re a dance floor diva or prefer chilling at the bar, clubbing is a great way to meet new people.

Join an Athletic Team

If you’re into sports, then joining a team in LA is super easy. Whether it’s soccer, boxing, ultimate Frisbee, or tennis – there are plenty of groups and organizations that welcome new members every day! All you have to do is show up ready to go, and you’ll be making friends in no time. You can even chat with other players while waiting for your turn so that it won’t feel like awkward small talk – just two strangers talking about their favorite parts of the game!

Conclusion

There are many ways to meet new people, and although some might take more effort than others, they will all be worth it in the end! Whether you join a running club or sign up for cooking classes, if that’s what you’re looking for, then there is an endless opportunity waiting specifically for you. All you need to do is go out and look!
