The management of the Afdal Festival held a ceremony honoring the personalities of the year 2021 at the Casino du Liban. Various political, artistic and social personalities participated in the ceremony. The ceremony was distinguished by the presence of the Arab star Mohammad Ramadan coming from Egypt, who was granted by the Lebanese Ministry of Culture the title of Arab Youth Ambassador.
The Ukrainian Consul General in Syria, Mr. Tamer Al Tounsi, was honored with the Best Honorary Consul Award for the year 2021, for his achievements on all cultural, economic and political levels, and his role in protecting Ukrainian citizens in Syria.
The award was handed over to him by the Ambassador of Ukraine in Lebanon, Ihor Ostach, after he delivered a speech by His Excellency Ambassador Ostach, in which he spoke about the consul’s recent achievements, especially during the Corona pandemic, and his distinction in completing his consular work with accuracy and success.
