You probably have not heard of this brand SSC (Shelby Supercar North America) . They have been all over the news recently breaking the Guinness book of records once again with the  world’s fastest production car  SSC Tuatara the king of the hypercar world.

Little is known of their predecessor the SSC Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo. This incredible machine claimed the Guinness World Records for the fastest production car, after it was officially timed at 410 km/h (254 mph) in Washington. Unfortunately it was an era when there was no social media this record stayed subdued as such. Therefore the 3-year reign of the SSC Ultimate aero TT lived predominantly in the record books not on everyone’s lips.

The SSC ultimate Aero Twin Turbo Specifically designed to challenge and break the world speed record for a production car of 253 mph set by Bugatti Veyron – the Ultimate Aero TT underwent extensive full-scale wind tunnel testing and was proven to not only to be stable at speeds over 250 mph , but capable up to 273 mph.

Further establishing its place among the elite hypercar world, the Ultimate Aero TT produces more emission-legal horse power than any other production hypercar of it’s era.  Known to have only built a handful of these incredible American real horsepower machine, The SSC Ultimate Aero TT is definitely destined for a private collection or to be displaced in a museum.

Haven’t spent most of its life at a private museum as pride of a collection of hypercars in Europe this king of the road American hypercar will be sold by Mecum auction on August 14th in Monterey to one lucky buyer. To further illustrate how important the SSC Ultimate Aero TT is , this hypercar is Vin 001 of only a handful ever produced.

Talking to the current owner about the importance of such a vehicle his reply was  “it is all in the Guinness book of records so there should be no introduction needed” he furthermore added the SSC ultimate Aero TT  is a monster a very important monster. Never painted all original paint and serviced at SSC Headquarters in Washington state on his return to the USA.

This incredible machine is believed to bring an estimated price of approximately $600,000 to $750,000 according to Mecum experts
