US Online Shopping Share is More than Six Percent of Grocery Spending

Online shopping is increasing in terms of percentage of overall grocery shopping in the US. Brick Meets Click has released analysis on 12 September, according to which, in 2019 online grocery sales have grown 15 percent year over year. And now it is representing 6.3 percent of total grocery related spending by US households. Brick Meets Click is focusing on digital marketing for food and sales. In a press release, Brick Meets Click announced its findings with many factors.

According to the press release, average order value, encompassing ship to home, home delivery and pickup orders have increased over 6% to $70 in 2019. Retail trade channel’s home delivery and pickup orders’ average order value grew 13% to just over $100. There are many factors that are helping to increase these numbers such as the revolution of digital technology and online shopping guides such as HasenChat Marketplace USA.
