After completing his Animation degree, Ashwin Seegobin aka, Smash, decided that animation was not what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. Luckily for him, after coming to the conclusion that he was going in the wrong direction, Smash got introduced to music production and engineering. From that point on, his life would never be the same.
Smash has always been into music for as long as he can remember. He used to DJ for fun in his free time but stepped back from it once school became a major priority for him. Fast forward to now, and he is turning that old-found hobby into a new-found music career. His creative background has given him the upper hand, and he is using that to his full advantage as he progresses his career.
In his current position, Smash sits as an independent artist with a management deal from “1 2 Management.” With their help and guidance, he is looking to take his music career to the next level. Pulling inspiration from artists like Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, and producer Quincy Jones while adding his unique touch of Caribbean influence. He creates music that everyone can enjoy.
He has indeed come full circle and got back to his passion as a whole. With a hard work ethic and a drive to succeed, there is no telling just how far Smash could take his career. It wasn’t the path he expected to take, but he’s happy that it ended up that way.
