Dr. Donald Abrams is serving on the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Committee of The Heath Effects of Cannabis and Cannabinoids: “The Current State of Evidence and Recommendations for Research.” During his research, he has focused on the usefulness of the anti-emetic and pain-relieving properties of cannabis in complementary therapy for cancer care.
Dr. Abrams is also working at the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine to find the use of medical cannabis in cancer care with the help of complementary therapies. The MD has expertise in oncology and hematology due to which he is contributing to finding the effectiveness of cannabis in treating medical conditions such as Cancer.
