ThykSkynn: A Black-Owned Company That Protects People With Sheer Style and Comfort

Gun violence has become a rampant issue in today’s society. Over the past decade, there have been countless victims of these senseless acts of violence, and most of them are members of the black community. As a person of color himself, Michael Allen created his own clothing brand that merges Fashion and bulletproof protective gear called ThykSkynn.

Tactical Fashion, as they call it, ThykSkynn is the first-ever company in the United States that has seamlessly merged the intricacies of Fashion with bulletproof materials. The brand continues to uphold its message of peace by providing protective clothing for people all over the world. The company emphasizes that a vest does not promote violence, but rather, it raises awareness of the need for safety and protection in these trying times.

ThykSkynn’s main focus is to protect the energy, mentality, spirituality, and physicality of its wearers. It is Michael Allen’s own contribution to our society. He hopes that his brand will make a world of difference when it comes to saving the lives of individuals in the United States. The worrying trend of innocent people losing their lives every day to gun violence has triggered a sense of initiative within Allen, prompting him to figure out an alternative solution that could be brought to our daily lives.

The company is currently based in Atlanta, Georgia, serving many satisfied customers with its innovative products. Apart from clothing items, ThykSkynn also has a line of bags designed for people from different walks of life. Each ThykSkynn product is made with lightweight level IIIA kevlar material that stops anything from a 44 magnum handgun and anything below that caliber.

The vests are expertly crafted for both men and women, offering comfort, style, and, most of all, protection. The company also offers customized vests that allow for different fits for different people. This guarantees comfort and wearability for their customers. Each ThykSkynn vest is individually hand-stitched by some of the most talented young designers in Atlanta, further generating jobs and opportunities within the community.

Upon listening to current events and seeing the injustice being done to innocent people, Michael Allen immediately saw a need for his people to feel like they could have a second chance at life. He was tired of seeing innocent people of color being senselessly murdered.

“I saw a vision of an innocent man or woman being ‘mistakenly’ shot by an officer and instead of the office being the only side of the story told, the victim would now be able to speak on their behalf in court,” said Michael. “That is my motivation.”

In the near future, Michael Allen hopes to grow his company so that it may reach more people all across the world. He sees ThykSkynn as becoming more than just a bulletproof zone company but a household name, a lifestyle company that reflects true peace of the mind, body, and spirit. As his brand continues to forge a path of practicality, safety, and protection, Michael Allen and his company are making everyone safer one vest at a time.
