Running a business is, beyond a doubt, a complex affair. There is the actual creation of the good or service, marketing, delivering the said goods or services to customers, and so on. Beyond interactions with customers, business owners are also having to deal with internal issues such as employee compensation, workload distribution, and other human resources issues.

If poorly addressed, employee-related issues can go on to cost an organization large amounts of money each year. On the other hand, employee satisfaction is linked to better performance and more profits for the company.

The Complexities of Employee Needs

Obviously, the biggest and most important type of compensation for employees is their salary and wages. At the same time, additional benefits are also offered to employees. These include bonuses, transportation, official accommodation, and so on. Beyond just the benefits that a company chooses to give to employees, there are other factors that affect how productive they can be.

Take transportation, for example. Employees, especially those in large cities, can spend a considerable amount of their paycheck and hours of their day commuting to and from work. While this might not seem like too big of a factor, the loss of personal hours leads to lower job satisfaction and the loss of funds does the same.

There is also the issue of transportation when on official company business. The time and effort spent by the employees navigating their transport needs can be spent on actual company tasks which will aid productivity. This is why many companies if they have the means to, opt to handle employee transport themselves.

This often saves cost and effort for the employees themselves and increases morale which benefits the employer. However, creating a functioning transport system for an entire corporation’s employees, with their various needs, locations and work requirements can be tricky.

Depending on the size of the organization, it might require hiring full-time staff only for that purpose or creating a whole other department to keep it running which might be too complex for an organization. To avoid this, companies often outsource employee transport needs. This means that they do not have to deal with the day-to-day issues of logistics, vehicle maintenance, and working through employee schedules.

In the end, this setup benefits all involved as the company can function without having to worry about logistics needs and employees can have their transport needs met effectively.

How Companies Like Bussr Help

Bussr, founded by entrepreneurs Hussein Abdelkarim and IM Shousha in 2019, is a new transport resource that allows users to plan and pay for transportation across South-East Asia. Combining the ease of ride-sharing apps and the accessibility of paying for both public and private transportation, the app is taking on the region’s $30 billion mobility market.

The app allows for travel in over 2,500 destinations in 90 cities and has already amassed over 100,000 users in its 2 years of existence. Besides the app’s function for individual use, it also acts as a customized white-label transport service. This service is offered through a fleet management platform and full-stack mobility offerings. Using Bussr, companies can automate their employees’ transport needs and ensure efficiency.

They can also better ensure the safety of their employees who will make use of these services. This is because all trips that are facilitated through the Bussr platform are recorded on the database. That way, who took what trip at what time can be deduced instantaneously.

For employees who are taking trips out of town or to rural and unfamiliar locations, they can be found with much more ease compared to traditional transport systems. It also means more efficient disbursement of company funds with regards to travel.

Oftentimes, when employees are given travel allowance, there is a limit to which the company can track and confirm that all funds were spent appropriately. Using systems like Bussr, the company can be sure, as funds are paid to the travel company as opposed to an individual. Furthermore, all trips that were taken by an employee, whether domestically or outside the company’s base of operations, can be tracked to ensure no personal trips were taken on the company’s dime.

Employee morale and efficiency are boosted by many factors, one of which is the ease of transportation when conducting official assignments or moving to and from the office on a daily basis. While a company may not be interested in managing all affairs regarding employee transportation by themselves, outsourcing to a company like Bussr means that they don’t have to.

From safety to logistics, all aspects are handled and both employees and the company itself can benefit with minimal hassle.
