Living as a minority in the United States is such a difficult experience. The recent social and political climate has really brought to light the horrible things that happen within their rotten system. Systemic racism is rampant, and people of color are facing a lot of problems just living their daily lives. Cedric Hill is one of those private citizens that have been wrongfully sent to jail only due to the color of his skin.

The issue is ingrained in American culture, and it’s such a difficult battle to face since the system itself perpetuates these unjust deeds. Cedric Hill became a victim of racial profiling and was sent to county jail unrightfully and unlawfully. Fortunately, he knew his rights and fought his own battle.

Cedric Hill is a private resident of Pleasanton, Texas. He used to work in modeling, boxing, and private security. He worked for Floyd Mayweather and his family when he resided in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cedric currently works as a Class A oilfield truck driver for CDL trucking services.

On June 6, 2019, a police officer unjustly arrested Cedric Hill. In his statement, the police officer recounts that he responded to a disturbance call that came from the gun shop where Cedric was kicked out. The gun shop owner didn’t like that Cedric was filming the store after seeing a confederate flag at the storefront.

Cedric’s only intentions were to get a reaction from the owner regarding the confederate flag, but he was unduly arrested for interference with public duties and resisting search and arrest. He was sent to the local county jail in Atascosa, and they imposed a hefty bail charge on him.

Cedric Hill was fully aware that the arrest was unjust, so he imposed his rights as a private citizen and represented himself in a legal battle. He took a copy of his own recording of the incident and used it as evidence in court. He eventually won the case and proved his own innocence.

With his full knowledge of his rights, Cedric never backed down and faced his problem head-on. He hopes to inspire other persons of color to do the same when faced with racial discrimination, such as racial profiling and police brutality. As he puts his story out there, Cedric acknowledges that this wasn’t the first and only time where he experienced such blatant racism in his life.

The incidents involving systemic racism have not gone down at all. As long as authorities are not held accountable for their actions, the system will perpetuate itself, which is why Cedric Hill has taken it upon himself to shed light on these injustices that he faces day-to-day.

He created his own YouTube channel to spread awareness on the injustices that he faces no matter where he goes. The videos have been very disturbing and prove that there are members of the authority who abuse their power to impose their racist agenda. Cedric Hill stands up against these people and films them during the incidents to catch them red-handed.

Join Cedric on his fight against racial discrimination by dropping by his YouTube Channel.
