Jaden Garza and Nomad Internet bring long-term leadership and adaptability to broadband access in underserved communities

Jaden Garza is the innovative mind behind Nomad Internet, a company that has dramatically reshaped internet accessibility in rural and remote regions. With a professional background that blends hands-on technical experience and high-level strategic leadership, Garza has built one of the fastest-growing companies in the broadband service sector. His journey began with small-scale internet installations for RV parks in Texas and has since evolved into the nationwide expansion of Nomad Internet, a provider known for its customer-focused solutions, including Nomad Oasis AI, Nomad Explorer, Nomad Shield, and Nomad Transparency.

Garza’s ability to bridge the digital divide has been driven by a lifelong interest in technology and a deep commitment to community. His early leadership roles, including CEO positions at various tech companies, provided a foundation for operations, innovation, and resilience. With his wife, Jessica Garza, he co-founded Nomad Internet to meet the growing demand for reliable rural connectivity. Garza is also recognized for his leadership philosophy—rooted in collaboration and decisiveness—and for staying directly involved in the company’s mission. As he continues to grow Nomad Internet, Garza remains committed to elevating underserved populations through connectivity. In the following interview, Garza shares insights into his leadership style, the challenges faced, and the adaptability required to succeed in a rapidly changing digital environment.

How do you structure your day to maximize productivity and focus on your goals?

I start my day early with a clear plan of priorities. The most critical tasks—those that impact the company’s growth—come first. I dedicate blocks of time for strategic planning, team alignment, and problem-solving. I also ensure that I create space for quick decision-making and adaptability because, in business, things change fast.

Structuring my day with intention helps me avoid distractions and remain aligned with long-term goals. I try to limit meetings to what’s essential and delegate where needed, allowing me to focus on areas that directly move the needle for Nomad Internet.

What strategies do you use to stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies?

I believe in surrounding myself with people who are forward-thinking and constantly innovating. I stay connected with industry experts, read reports, and monitor data closely. We also test and implement new technologies quickly at Nomad Internet, which allows us to stay ahead of competitors.

Additionally, I encourage my team to bring new ideas to the table. Whether it’s software integrations, AI-enabled tools, or service delivery models, we’re constantly exploring improvements that can give us a competitive edge.

Can you share a challenge you’ve faced in your career and how you turned it into an opportunity for growth?

One of the biggest challenges was navigating Nomad Internet through the regulatory and reputation hurdles we faced. Instead of letting those setbacks define us, we used them as an opportunity to restructure, improve customer service, and rebuild trust. Today, our operations are stronger because of the lessons we learned during that time.

It also gave us a renewed focus on transparency and integrity. We implemented internal processes that increased accountability and created better customer experiences. The situation, while difficult, became a turning point that helped solidify our values as a company.

When starting a new project, what steps do you take to ensure its success?

I focus on three things:

Clarity – Defining the end goal and what success looks like.

The Right People – Making sure the right team is in place to execute.

Data-Driven Execution – We launch, test, analyze, and improve quickly based on performance insights.

Execution is everything. Having a great idea isn’t enough—you have to move fast, learn from early feedback, and be willing to pivot when necessary. Each project includes detailed timelines, KPIs, and frequent check-ins.

What’s the most difficult decision you’ve made recently, and how did it shape your approach moving forward?

Scaling our operations while maintaining profitability has been a tough call. We had to decide which growth opportunities to pursue and which to let go of. It reinforced the importance of making bold decisions while keeping an eye on long-term sustainability.

It also made me realize that not every opportunity is worth chasing. Focus and discipline are just as important as innovation when you’re growing a business in a fast-paced environment like tech and broadband.

Looking back, is there a job or experience that significantly shaped your career path? What lessons did you take from it?

Leading Nomad Internet has been the most defining experience. It’s taught me that resilience and adaptability are key. No matter how solid your plan is, the market will test you, and you have to be willing to adjust and keep moving forward.

Prior to Nomad, I had experience in several tech ventures, and each taught me a lesson in scaling, customer relations, and product development. But it was Nomad that required me to lead through ambiguity and public scrutiny, and it made me a better leader.

What is a skill or expertise you developed that has been instrumental in your success?

Strategic decision-making under pressure. I’ve learned to focus on data, trust my instincts, and make calculated moves even when things are uncertain.

Another key skill has been people management. Building and retaining the right team is critical. Leadership isn’t just about vision—it’s about aligning others with that vision and empowering them to execute.

Who has had the greatest impact on your professional journey, and what did you learn from them?

I’ve learned from various entrepreneurs and business leaders—those who have built and scaled companies successfully. The biggest lesson is that persistence wins. Those who keep pushing forward, even when things seem impossible, are the ones who succeed.

Mentorship is another area I value deeply. Hearing others’ stories, especially how they navigated failure, helps me avoid the same pitfalls and stay inspired.

What qualities or habits do you believe have contributed most to your success?

Decisiveness, resilience, and a willingness to take risks. I’m not afraid to make big moves, but I also ensure that every risk is calculated and backed by data.

I also believe in continuous learning. Whether through books, mentorship, or trial and error, I’m always looking to grow. That mindset has helped me push through setbacks and come out stronger.

Is there a book or resource that has influenced your professional mindset or leadership style? Why would you recommend it?

The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss. It challenges the traditional idea that success means working 80-hour weeks. Instead, it focuses on efficiency, automation, and designing a business that supports your lifestyle. I recommend it to anyone who wants to scale smarter, not just work harder.

It helped me reframe my priorities and think about systems that allow for sustainable growth. In a business like Nomad Internet, scalability is everything, and this book offered a practical framework.

Final Thoughts

Jaden Garza continues to lead Nomad Internet with a clear mission: improving lives through better connectivity. His ability to adapt and grow while remaining deeply committed to innovation and community service positions him and Nomad Internet for continued impact in rural America. Garza’s leadership, shaped by experience and grounded in accountability, ensures that Nomad will continue pushing boundaries in the broadband space.

We thank Jaden Garza for sharing his story and insights into his evolving leadership journey.
