Sanjay Patel was born in Surat. From an early age, Sanjay Patel demonstrated a strong interest in numbers and analysis. His father was an innovative teacher, and his mother was a social worker dedicated to improving the living conditions of the underprivileged.

Sanjay Patel showed an affinity for mathematics and logic from a young age and was sent to the United States for further education. He ultimately earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Stanford University. After graduating, he joined Goldman Sachs and later moved to Wall Street. There, he rose from an analyst to become an investment banker and head of the stock research department. He gained recognition in the industry for his deep market insights and innovative investment strategies.

During his tenure as head of the stock research department, Sanjay Patel also earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, achieving one of the most important milestones in his life. The CFA qualification is widely regarded as one of the most challenging and respected professional certifications in the global finance industry. For any professional seeking to excel in the fields of investment and financial analysis, earning the CFA charter is a significant accomplishment.

The CFA certification exam covers a wide range of topics, including investment tools, corporate financial analysis, valuation, and portfolio management. It requires a profound understanding of financial knowledge and rigorous analytical skills. Through his own efforts, Sanjay Patel successfully passed this demanding exam, demonstrating his professional capabilities in financial analysis.

After earning his CFA certification,  Sanjay Patel’s career entered a new phase. His expertise and skills were more widely recognized, and his influence in the finance industry was further enhanced. He began working on more complex financial projects, including portfolio management, risk assessment, and corporate mergers and acquisitions.

During his 20-year career on Wall Street, Sanjay Patel achieved significant investment successes with his profound understanding of the global stock markets and efficient strategies, including earning a 100% return within a week and an annual cumulative investment return of over 1000%.

In 2023, he decided to join OAKTREE, having previously served as a Senior Strategist at Goldman Sachs’ headquarters in New York, leading the firm’s research and investment strategies in global stock markets.

Sanjay Patel has been honored with multiple prestigious awards for his accurate market predictions and outstanding investment results, including being named “Global Best Stock Analyst” twice by the International Financial Analysts Association (IFAA). He has also been recognized as the “Stock Market Forecaster of the Year” by media outlets such as The Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal, and has received the “Global Investment Leadership Award” and the “Innovative Investment Strategy Award,” awarded by the Global Investment Management Association (GIMA) and the International Securities Market Association (ISMA), respectively, in recognition of his contributions to investment management and strategy innovation. Additionally, he has been named one of the “Most Influential Stock Investment Experts” by multiple top-tier investment forums and seminars, an honor based on his in-depth research, theoretical innovation, and practical achievements in the field of stock investments.
