Interactive sessions are a great way to connect with your audience and build rapport. But like any other form of communication, they can be successful or unsuccessful depending on the execution.

In this article, we’ll show you how to run a successful live interactive session. By following these five steps, you’ll ensure that everyone has a great experience and learns what you wanted them to learn. Let’s get started!

1. Create a Script and Stick to It

Most people enjoy a well-scripted session where everything is predictable and there are no surprises. This allows the audience to focus on the presenter rather than trying to figure out what will happen next.

To create a script, start by thinking about your main points and outlining them in bullet form. Then flesh them out into longer paragraphs that provide greater detail and context for your topics. You can also break down each point into individual questions or statements that you want participants to answer aloud (or click through).

The goal is to create a structure and format that everyone can follow while still providing enough flexibility to address any questions or changes that arise at the moment.

2. Stick to the Time Limit

One of the biggest challenges with live interactive sessions is keeping everyone on track. If you allow too much time for questions or banter, it will dilute your message and possibly confuse people who are trying to listen carefully.

Instead, try to limit each question to just two or three words (or less) so that participants have enough time to recognize when their turn is coming up. And be sure not to monopolize the microphone for too long – it can be intimidating for attendees to wait their turn, especially if the room is crowded.

3. Use Visual Aids When Appropriate

Many people enjoy visual aids when learning new information or following a discussion. This includes charts, graphs, photos, and other visuals that help illustrate points or make complex concepts more accessible.

While you don’t need to use every type of visual aid in every session, using web conferencing tools like Adobe Connect will help keep everyone engaged and informed in real time. Such tools can be used exhaustively for doubt-clearing sessions, allowing your employees to stay up-to-date with the right information.

4. Keep the Conversation Moving

If you find that the conversation is stalling or going around in circles, it may be helpful to redirect it by asking participants for their thoughts on a specific topic or question. This can help break up monotonous discussions and jump-start new conversations about more relevant topics.

And finally, don’t hesitate to take any questions from attendees who seem confused or lost – after all, they are paying attention!

5. Reschedule if Necessary

If your live interactive session proves to be too much for one or more participants, it may be helpful to reschedule the date or time. This way, everyone can participate in an engaging dialogue without feeling overwhelmed.

And remember – no one is a “perfect” speaker or moderator. If something goes wrong, be sure to apologize and offer a solution that will make everyone feel more comfortable participating in your live interactive session.

Conclusion

No matter what business you are in-from a start-up to a leading MNC, live interactive sessions can be an incredible tool for building relationships and generating leads. The great way to successfully run one is by following the 5 steps we discussed above.

From scenario planning to sticking to time limits, there’s nothing more that you need than these tips when organizing your next live session!
