The United States has one of the most complex healthcare systems globally due to the involvement of numerous stakeholders, insurers, healthcare agencies, regulators, physicians, and pharmaceutical companies. Patients and their families often face challenges navigating such a complex system due to a lack resources and understanding of an exceptionally complex healthcare delivery system. People face problems understanding the nuances of the healthcare system because insurance coverage, financing, goals, and service delivery options remain a mystery with the answers just out of reach for many.

There are various options available for healthcare and often seeking professional advice is the answer to choosing the best options for your unique needs. Insurance coverage choices, physicians or hospitals, and many nursing or senior care homes are some of issues that individuals are navigating for themselves and their love ones every day. Most physicians, nursing leaders, and executives know the intricate details of service delivery options and coverage issues that people may face regarding their health. Healthcare professionals and executives are in excellent positions to help people navigate the complexities of the healthcare system by offering advice from a professional perspective.

Physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare leaders have the experience and expertise to evaluate needs and establish plans that match the client’s health, lifestyle, and personal goals. Over 25 years of experience working inside of subacute rehabilitation, nursing homes, assisted living homes, and memory care communities are what set experienced professionals and consultants like Toya Cornelious and The Care Concierge apart and prepare then to guide and advise clients according to their individual needs and goals.

Toya Casper-Cornelious is a prominent healthcare executive with vast experience in healthcare leadership, senior healthcare, and post-acute operations in the Greater Philadelphia area. Cornelious is an expert on senior care and clinical processes and can guide patients and their families regarding treatment, coverage, and senior care or living options due to her experience. Her vast network of healthcare partners offers the perfect complement of services to meet varying needs.  She is the owner of Strategic Care Solutions Healthcare Consulting and co-founder of The Care Concierge. Her expertise revolves around holistic health management and senior care, making her an authority in senior care and senior living.

Cornelious completed her early education at Sterling High School before moving to Newark, New Jersey, to pursue a career in nursing. She graduated from the Rutgers College of Nursing with a bachelor’s degree in 1994 while working with the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center throughout college.

Toya became a nurse after caring for her grandfather, battling cancer. She had a heart of compassion because her grandmother had been a nurse. Toya started working at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center as a nursing assistant. She attributes her dedication to individualized, skilled care to Ms. Dorothy’s mentoring and instruction, a career CNA who served as Toya’s mentor at Newark Beth Israel.

Over 1200 students were under Toya’s care while she worked as a school nurse in Camden City. Toya believed one job was insufficient, so she started working in a subacute facility near her school. She developed a love for the seniors in the center and decided to do her best to improve their lives.

Toya received her MBA from Grantham University in 2013 while filling an executive position at CareOne Management. CareOne Management is a professional organization offering post-acute rehabilitation, assisted living, senior care, palliative care, and memory care. The nursing leader acquired a considerable amount of her administrative and executive experience at CareOne. Cornelious joined the healthcare organization in 2007 as an administrator and rose to the level of Chief Clinical Officer in 2017, where she fulfilled her leadership responsibilities for five years.

Toya co-founded the Care Concierge in 2022. She started the Strategic Care Solutions Healthcare Consulting firm in the same year to provide senior care services and help people navigate the complex healthcare system through her experience. Toya offers consultancy and advice to people to make informed decisions regarding elderly care services.

Toya is dedicated to providing high-quality services, adhering to the highest standards of professionalism while helping patients and their families navigate the complex healthcare system.
