Born and raised in West Hempstead and currently residing in Garden City, New York, entrepreneur and businessman Christopher Russo is an expert when it comes to navigating the financial markets. Cashing in on his wealth of knowledge and expertise in trading to accumulate his own fortune, Christopher has now dedicated his time to his business, Worldwide Wealth Group. As an experienced stock broker, Christopher and his colleagues help their clients realize their financial goals through exceptional management of their investments and assets. Today Christopher is here with us to share his journey to accumulating his own wealth and helping others manage theirs.

Christopher, let’s start at the beginning of your journey. What first prompted you to gravitate towards entrepreneurship and business as a career path?

I was always a hustler. I grew up unprivileged, single mom, basement apartment, no brothers or sisters. I saw my mom struggle and that made me hungry to earn. I had a candy business, I had delivered newspapers, I had a gardening business, all before the age of 16. I was always hustling and making money for as long as I can remember.

I got involved with trading in the equity and stock markets in the mid nineties and I took a liking to it so I decided to get my series seven and delve deeper into the business. I found success very quickly and became a self-made millionaire by the age of 26.

Sounds like you had a knack for business from a young age! Let’s talk about the company you have today. How did it start and what is the concept?

We started out mainly on the brokerage side of things just buying and selling equities. In 2007 things really took off and we established Worldwide Wealth Group which is a wealth management firm that provides our clientele with a variety of services, the most prominent of which is the ability to have a passively or actively managed investment account, complemented with insurance, annuities and/or defined benefit plans. Primarily our clientele are high net worth individuals for example physicians or surgeons throughout the country.

How are your clients benefitting from their involvement with Worldwide Wealth Group?

The beauty of our business is that we don’t treat our clients with a cookie cutter approach. We address each client’s specific needs and wants to ensure they have tailored solutions and management of their wealth. We sit down with each client to discuss in depth their financial goals, risk appetite whether it’s aggressive or conservative, and any other important factors that contribute to creating a comprehensive plan of action to give our clients the best possible outcomes for their financial future.

With Worldwide Wealth Group running smoothly, what are your goals for the future for yourself and your business?

My goal for myself is the same as that of my business. It’s simple; I want to continue to help as many people as possible to navigate the financial markets to reach their financial goals, and have fun while doing it.

Thank you for sharing your story and some insight into Worldwide Wealth Group, Christopher! In closing, please give us your best advice for anyone starting out in the world of business.

My first piece of advice is to be the first one in and the last one to leave the office. My next piece of advice is to always work on yourself and focus on your own personal development while striving to get better and gather more knowledge every day. The day you stop learning and developing yourself is the day you’ve peaked. My last piece of advice is to become an expert at whatever area you focus on in the financial arena. Don’t let anybody know more than you in the area that you focus on.
