New data surfacing online shows the eSports industry is expected to reach the $7 billion mark by 2023. eSports is benefiting educators, parents and athletes in noticeable ways which is increasing its popularity. The players and their guardians have realized how eSports is helping the students to build critical soft skills, stronger communication and teamwork skills.

Soft Skills

Students need to develop their soft skills along with their hard skills to be employed in the digital world. The new article in Harvard Business Review, pointed out how one of the most critical areas for skills development is soft skills and by 2024 more than 50% of jobs will be automated.

The students need to develop their soft skills, and that isn’t optional now. They need to think critically, bring forth clear communication and find solutions to complex problems to survive the world undoubtedly. Employers are seeking candidates who have soft skills as they will be more adaptive, make good decisions and work as a team player.

And for this, many skill based games like the fish games are coming handy. Gofish.today has even listed top fish game apps through which young people can enhance their skills.

Teamwork Skills

Teamwork is needed to learn more effectively, develop a refined communication skill and collaborate on various projects. Students need to develop these skills with physical capabilities. Not everyone is interested in joining the football team or playing basketball.

eSports gives them a way out of the social anxiety they experience or if the student is not physically strong they can still participate in a team activity and develop their skills. Being primarily a technology game it is majorly inclusive and opens many ways for a wider range of students.
