Larissa Chaoul has been an artist for as long as she can remember. As a child, she would create art from absolutely anything at hand. Still curious and ever creative in her teens, she explored the reality around her by drawing comics.

Today, Chaoul is just as fascinated by the world around her as she was in her youth. In making her art, she manifests the energy she observes in her uniquely whimsical and sensitive style. Some of her favorite subjects are faces, distorted, and rendered with bright colors and geometric shapes. Chaoul proudly exemplifies a “chaotic-joyful vibe that transcends beyond norms and concepts.”

In April, Chaoul presented her art at World Art Dubai. The event is a diverse art fair hosted at the Dubai Trade Centre. Geared to every lover of art from collectors to enthusiasts, WAD is an accessible experience where art lovers can truly immerse themselves. The attendees tour the many exhibits and can meet the artists face to face, creating a special connection that stays with the art piece long after its purchase. This year’s World Art Dubai has concluded, but the next art fair isn’t far off in March 2022.

Hotel Indigo in Dubai is an idyllic venue for Chaoul’s current exhibit. The hotel is dedicated to Dubai’s rich cultural heritage and, itself, is an homage to the city, combining the Emirate cultures with the modern and contemporary. Throughout the hotel, one can see the touch of local talent. Hotel Indigo employed the creativity of local designers and artists, making the beautiful building a cultural landmark in Dubai.

Larissa Chaoul’s art has been on exhibit since July and available for purchase. There is still time to visit and experience Chaoul’s delightfully distorted and expressive works at the iconic Hotel Indigo in downtown Dubai.

Chaoul’s charisma truly comes out in her work. Her vibrant, riotous style is more than charming. But there is also the maturity of practiced technique. Even the casual observer can see the that her pieces are the result of countless hours of determined practice as much as they are the product of her creativity and talent. To look at the images she produces is to see the world through youthful, vital, and optimistic eyes.

Currently, Chaoul is making exciting plans for September and beyond. You can find Larissa Chaoul and her work at www.instagram.com/larissachaoul.
