Growing up as a self-proclaimed “military brat” Darez Meriwether spent his childhood hopping all over the globe from base to base. Despite all the constant change in his life, one thing remained constant- his drive to become independently successful. So, it’s no surprise that within just a few short years Darez Meriwether has earned numerous accolades and promotions within the insurance industry. Darez credits much of his success to his willingness to learn and apply lessons and principles. Here are four of his favorite success quotes.

1) “Failure is a condiment that gives success flavor”

Meriwether believes that failure is what make success possible and without it winning wouldn’t feel as good. He says, “fail hard and fail often because each time you’re one less failure away from success”. This belief system has allowed him to go from $40,000 a year to $50,000+ a month in one of the largest industries in the world.

2) “Work today like most people won’t, so you can live tomorrow like most people can’t”

Meriwether believes that hard work and sacrifice are key ingredients to achieving a high level of success in anything worth accomplishing. He says, “you have to crave the results so intensely that the work is irrelevant.” Meriwether credits much of his success to his ability to take action and stay moving towards his goals. He believes that many people underestimate just how hard you have to work to achieve your dreams.

3) “Nothing grows inside of the comfort zone”

Meriwether believes that personal development is a major key to unlocked new levels of success. He says, “If we are to have more, than we must become more”. It was this belief that led Meriwether to seek and follow mentorship. He credits much of his success to being willing to “get uncomfortable” by learning and applying new principles in his life.

4) “Whatever you’re thinking, it’s not big enough”

Meriwether believes in the power of big dreams and visions. He says, “your why has to be big enough to get you out of bed when you want to sleep in, and make you work that Sunday you’re supposed to be off, and make that one more phone call when there’s one minute left before clock-out.”
