Born and raised in Orange, New Jersey, WoodJerry Brasier’s love for music would be born from his exposure to legends like Michael Jackson, 2Pac, Biggy, Eminem, the Wu-Tang Clan, and Outkast, among many others. He would carry his admiration even as he moved to Boston, Massachusetts, in 2005. Brasier’s passion would drive him to follow his idol’s career in the music industry six years later.
Taking the stage name KiD JeRa, the young musician took to SoundCloud, consistently producing music. His efforts did not go unnoticed as KiD JeRa started to gain a loyal following. Throughout 2011, he would flood the internet with his tracks and remixes, giving listeners a unique experience that could pump them up, strut for a dance, and make them think.
By 2017, KiD JeRa started to evolve his music, giving him the fuel he needed on social media. Brasier abandoned the KiD JeRa persona as his sound evolved and took on his current stage name, THEUNKNOWN. Although he already had a good following, the rising artist’s popularity skyrocketed with his first single, “Bass,” produced by Justin Kase on SoundCloud. THEUNKNOWN later followed up with the track “Champion,” produced by Azaleh. From there, he released his music on all available streaming platforms.

With influences from different artists, he molded his craft to bring a unique sound to his fans. “I love the feeling of switching up my sound, creating music in multiple, different genres,” he shared. “That right there is what keeps me moving on the go.”
