10 Utah Highschool Graduates to Watch that are Playing Professional Basketball

Frank Jackson

Franklin Willis Jackson (born May 4, 1998) is a current point guard for the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 2015 Lehi High School Graduate is known to be an amazing scorer. After high school, Jackson continued his basketball career playing at Duke University. Starting 16 of 36 games and averaging 11 points and 3 rebounds per game promptly cued him to take it to the next level and submit an application for the 2017 NBA Draft.. He was chosen by the Charlotte Hornets in the final pick of round 2 before being traded to the New Orleans Pelican. Today, averaging a cool 10 points and 19 minutes per game, Frank plays for the Detroit Pistons. Follow along his career!

With at least one block per game and averaging 17 points per game, it’s easy to see why he is up-and-coming.

Neema Namdar

Neema Namdar (born June 6, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Novo Basquete Ponta Grossa which competes in the Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB) National Basketball League. Before recently signing his first professional basketball contract, Neema was the starting combo guard for the Hawaii Pacific University Sharks from 2019 to 2020. Neema is also the co-founder and owner of the popular pro-am basketball association in Salt Lake City, Utah known as the Powder League which runs in the summer from June to August annually. Brekott Chapman

Brekott Chapman (born April 7, 1996) an American professional basketball player for s.Oliver Würzburg of the Basketball Bundesliga, a basketball association in Germany, didn’t always play ball. But after high school where Chapman worked collecting aluminum cans and selling pizza, his career kicked off ranking within the top 50 of the ESPN 100.

Jordan Loveridge

Jordan Loveridge (born November 26, 1993) is a professional basketball player in Finland! After attending West Jordan High School, Loveridge moved on to averaging 12 points and seven rebounds per game at the University of Utah. Today he plays small forward for Kobrat (team) of the Korisliiga (Finland basketball association).

Kyle Collinsworth

Kyle Collinsworth (born October 3, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for the SeaHorses Mikawa of the B.League in Japan. He played college basketball for Brigham Young University (BYU). During the 2014–15 season, Collinsworth broke the NCAA single-season record for triple-doubles with six, which also tied the NCAA career record. On March 16, 2016, Collinsworth recorded his twelfth career triple-double, extending the NCAA record he set earlier in the season.

Brendan Bailey

Brendan Bailey (born June 9, 1997) is a forward in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Bailey was one of two players to start all 30 games at Marquette University winning MU’s “Most Improved Player Award” and has recently decided to pursue his professional basketball career. With support from his coaches, his family and friends, and his team, Brendan entered his name into consideration for the NBA Draft in April of 2021. Follow along in his career!

Nicholas Paulos

Nicholas Paulos (born February 26, 1992) is a Greek American professional basketball player who last played for Kolossos Rodou of the Greek Basket League. Paulos played college basketball at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro

(UNCG). He is a 6’7” tall shooting guard and small forward. During his college career, Paulos became the 21st player in UNCG   men’s basketball history to reach the 1,000-point career scoring mark, when he hit a second half 3-pointer against a rival university. Nicholas ranks third all-time with 262 3-pointers, and second all-time in UNCG history, with 125 games played.

Parker Van Dyke

Parker Van Dyke (born October 15 ,1994) played a total of 9 games in the 2020-2021 season for Tallina Kalev, a team which competes in the PAF Latvian Estonian Basketball League, and scored an average of 14 points per game. Known to be a proficient scorer, he graduated from East High School with a scoring title, before continuing his career at the University of Utah. Van Dyke set new career highs against rival schools, helping lead him onto a professional career. 

Justin Hamilton

Justin Hamilton (born April 1, 1990) has had a considerable professional basketball career. Before signing with the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association where he currently executes as center position, Hamilton has been signed on to popular teams such as the Brooklyn Nets; Toronto Raptors; and even the Miami Heat.
