Youngest Person in the history to lead the Nation’s Défense Hacking convention.

The stage is all set for the child genius to lead the world’s biggest hacking conventions and hacker groups at DEF CON 2021.

DEF CON is one of the world’s largest and most notable hacker conventions, held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is one of the most challenging cyber defence competitions, with a range of attendees from prominent politicians, actors, tech enthusiasts, defence force representatives, and nations ambassadors attend.

The top hackers from United States, China, Korea, Russia, Romania, Brazil, Turkey, and Taiwan attend. DEF CON is where the cool things happen. From hacking cars, banks, working on nations cybersecurity, social engineering, and you name it, people over there will do it.

Currently pursuing his post-graduate studies in the southern hemisphere, Kaushal Ottem developed an interest in cybersecurity at a young age. Leading the world’s most prominent event, attended by over 30,000 people, will surely be a remarkable feat for this young lad.

DEF CON call for papers is scheduled for August 5th – 9th, with New Year’s Eve being the ceremony date. There are plans for the online version, following the covid safety protocols.

The DEF CON season has arrived, and it’s time to announce the theme. The theme for DEF CON 29 is “You can’t stop the signal”. It will be targeting the cyber defence of nations.
