We were recently introduced to musical artist Namiii through a Power 105 Instagram Live interview with DJ Self. Namiii is worth noting because of his formless and unpredictable style which has credited him the alter ego nick name “Mr. Saturday Knight”.

He started in music in 2012 as a producer and has been an improving versatile artist that’s names and focuses have evolved. In 2016, under his former stage name “NAMGAWD”, Namiii took his career to a professional level. He released a single titled Life/Thrills with well renown drum and bass artist from London “Metrick”. The song charted 13th on the UK Drum and Bass Charts and was nominated for several awards, featured in a Sony Commercial, made the Grand Turismo Sport’s video game track list, and was often heard in the MTV show “Siesta Key”.

Since Namgawd, Namiii has continued growing as an artist. He currently raps with childhood friends for an independent label started by himself and his brother called “KAINBLOCK Records”. His latest EP Midtown 95 released on January 24th. He stepped out of his comfort zone and showed his versatility with a focus being more on his melody and vocalizing than his lyricism. The project was solely produced by TrapSpade and features an impressive interlude from vocalist Kevi Kiana. Also featured are fellow KAINBLOCK Records artist K Cook Up and Burto Benihana. As well as a close collaborator Melyrix. The EP has set a high standard for his debut album set to release in the summer of 2021.
