Hokali is a surf community marketplace founded by two Argentines namely, Ignacio Viau and Tomás Bisi. The surf platform helps to unite teachers with beginners to experienced surfers. Hokali focuses on personalized surf training to students by keeping in mind their abilities and skills.

Its primary focus is to connect surf learners with surf instructors to get surf lessons. It also aims to empower surfers who are willing to protect and preserve the coasts and oceans. Hokali was created in January month last year out of the passion of two surfers who met accidentally while surfing in San Francisco.

The Hokali team believes that surf enthusiasts can play a crucial role in contributing to the health and sustainability of marine ecosystems. Hokali has entered a partnership with many non-profits that primarily focuses on dealing with maritime conservation issues.

Hokali has pledged to plant a square foot of kelp sea tree in California for each surf session opted by surf students through its website. Thus, the surf community marketplace plays a crucial role in kelp forestation in California.

Hokali surf platform chooses its teachers that have at least 10 years of experience in surfing. Moreover, they have a certification in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Only those experienced surf teachers with a passion to take care of beaches & the sea are selected by Hokali to teach surf students.

Surf teachers must pass a test before teaching surfing to passionate candidates. Students can easily choose their teacher based on their interests & skillset. Moreover, Hokali has also facilitated surf students to contact the nearby surf shops to get the needed items & life insurance in a convenient fashion.
