The near-death experience that gave business coach Rashid Mubashir his desire to succeed

Hitting rock bottom gave business coach Rashid Mubashir the push he needed to realise his potential and set him on a path to help others reach their goals.

Mr Mubashir moved to Australia in 2014 from his native home of Pakistan completely alone with little more than $1,000 in his pocket. He had spent many years living in poverty with his family on $200 per month, with the four-person household making do by conserving water and electricity, rationing food and sharing one bed.

But his hard childhood did little to prepare the 18-year-old for what to expect in Sydney, Australia. With limited skills and facing severe culture shock, the coach quickly spiralled into depression under the pressure of a life unknown without the support of his family.

In 2014, the surmounting pressure took Mr Mubashir to the edge of suicide.

“I was stray from purpose and direction and felt pushed to the edge of life, completely isolating myself and losing the desire to live,” Mr Mubashir said.

“But, my mother used to say ‘make a positive difference in this world’. For all of that, I am forever thankful to her.

“Here is the thing, despite the extreme challenges of my childhood. I always knew that there was something more to life.”

Being given a new lease on life helped him realise his purpose in the world. He learnt to couple his lifelong love of business with curiosity to help challenge and inspire others.

“I will forever be grateful to have been in that place,” he said.

Mr Mubashir believes self-leadership and emotional intelligence are two of the key ingredients to business success. That is why his coaching approach is built around training the mind over simple and tired sales strategies.

The four philosophies he teaches to help his clients realise their goals begins with teaching people to develop a leader’s mindset. They are then invited to build a “Business Transformation Strategy” and create an actionable plan and measurable goals to track where they are going. From there, he coaches on how to maximize performance and execution.

“Most business coaches focus on strategies, taking action and execution to achieve results. It works, but only in the short term. It is not sustainable without an integrative leadership and culture,” Mr Mubashir said.

“On the other hand, I take a holistic approach that not only helps the business grow but really enables personal transformation for the business owner and their team members. My belief is that our external results are a reflection of our internal growth and are what helps us stand out.”

Several of the programs Mr Mubashir has founded tap into executive coaching practices, psychology, hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming, and entrepreneurial studies, including his Entrepreneurial Evolution Program™, Business Accelerator Framework™ and Business Performance Maximizer™. The multi-dimensional business methodologies are specifically designed to create a streamlined and efficient path to take six-figure businesses to 7-figures and beyond.

The performance coach is also a sought after speaker and business consultant with a diverse approach that synergises business management, human behaviour, philosophy and psychological sciences to achieve peak performance.

This approach has been recognised by the International Coach Guild, with Mr Mubashir named the 2020 Business Coach of the Year for his contribution to the local business community in helping people grow their business whilst upholding the highest coaching and leadership standards.

Mr Mubashir has been mentored by several leading experts in mindset and business, including Dr John Demartini, Sharon Pearson, Brian Tracy, Taki Moore, Tony Robbins and Joe Dispenza. He has since passed this knowledge into hundreds of upcoming coaches through Australasia’s largest coaching school as a way of giving back to his community.

The coach is currently offering free advice through his online Facebook community for entrepreneurs, business leaders and owners who want to scale their businesses, create more freedom and impact.
