The New Beginning Foundation was founded in an inner-city classroom by musician turned entrepreneur Leonard Denis. As a passionate writer himself, he saw firsthand the struggles of children who wanted to learn how to read and write. Drawing from his past experiences as a young parent who has three avid readers, he was determined to teach children to become readers themselves. His groundbreaking approach to reading created instructional systems that help all children, regardless of their first language, to become highly successful readers.

As a person from the slums, he has always wanted to use his influence to help his community. Building up black lives in the urban community is a huge concern. In the near future, Leonard Denis hopes to continue doing God’s work through his philanthropy. He hopes to help more and more people as the years go by. He finds great satisfaction in seeing children smile from finally learning how to read and write, realizing the full potential they had within them all along. Leonard is the closest thing one could get from a real-life superhero, as he continues to change the world one day at a time. Apart from all the philanthropy, he also has his own podcast called Community Xchange, where he gives people a chance to talk about the community.
