Born and raised in Tyler, Texas, Sarah Todd always had a talent for art at such a young age. Her talents first surfaced when she took art lessons as encouraged by her parents. She found that drawing and mixing colors felt natural to her, and she’s been in love with the process ever since then.

Fast forward to 2010, and the young and aspiring artist graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor of fine arts degree in studio art. Post-graduation, Sarah Todd taught art at a private elementary school in East Texas for about three years.

To take her art career to the next level, Sarah Todd then studied and lived in Florence, Italy, where she received a master’s degree in design in 2014. She studied under a master guilder in Florence, Italy, and she was trained in classical realistic art.

Once again, Sarah Todd returned to her passion for teaching art and went on to develop a children’s art curriculum at a private school in Dallas, Texas, for two years. During this time, she began to move away from realism in her art, as she channeled her creative energies into creating vibrant abstract images.

Sarah Todd’s signature work combines elements of timeless art techniques with a contemporary edge. Her current body of work features abstract layers of colors such as a 24K gold leaf, genuine silver leaf, and high gloss resin as well as large watercolors. Her art is fueled and inspired by her travels, nature, beauty, movement, and energy.

Nowadays, Sarah Todd is currently transforming residential and commercial spaces with her work. Her past shows include “The Europe Collection” in Hyde Park Village in Tampa, Florida; “The South Africa Collection” in Preston Royal, Dallas, Texas; “The Pearl Collection” in Inwood Village, Dallas, Texas, and “The Aspen Collection” in The Interior Dallas; “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend Collection” in The Gallery at Legacy West; and featured in Gold Mountain Gallery, Telluride Colorado.

Sarah Todd’s pieces are collected internationally with hundreds of them in private collections throughout the United States, France, Germany, and Italy. She also has public collections in Hilton Hotel in Hurst, Texas, The AC Hotel in Tampa, Florida, and Oceans Prime in Dallas, Texas.

There are a handful of collectors who give her photographs of their travels, and she expertly creates abstract paintings from them. These travel paintings usually depict the energy of their memories and are vibrant reminders of that moment in time. Sarah Todd wishes to evoke a sense of wonder and peace through her art, and she hopes that viewers will find her art engaging and will use their imagination to discover what each painting means to them.

She finds indescribable joy and a sense of peace through painting and creating art, so she wishes to depict the happiness that she feels through her art. Sarah Todd finds value in putting art into the average person’s home, and she loves to spread the joy of art to everyone.
