The sudden rise of house-flipping reality TV shows in recent years has put the industry in the spotlight and has piqued the interest of many avid TV fans. But even with such exposure to real estate, many find themselves hesitating to actually enter the trade. Darrin Smith, a full-time government employee and renowned house flipper has made it his mission to prove that one does not need to become a full-time house-flipping full-time nor have a real estate license to become successful in the businesses. At 9 to 5 Flipping, he holds masterclasses on how to become successful in real estate flipping and earn up to six figures annually even without a license.

Darrin Smith has been flipping houses since 2012. As a government employee, he needed extra income to pay off some of his liabilities and have a little extra money. He discovered real-estate flipping and quickly fell in love with the trade. In eight years, he has worked on over 400 properties—flipping, wholesaling, and renovating. Darrin has become so adept at real estate that he owns a few rentals as well. Through flipping, Darrin Smith has broken free from his debts and has begun creating wealth for generations to come. Darrin’s work also has a significant impact on his community. By taking distressed properties and turning them into beautiful, safe homes, he beautifies the community and creates homes for generations of families to come.

Inspired by what house flipping has done for him, Darrin Smith holds live masterclasses at 9 to 5 Flipping every other week. There, he reveals to novice flippers and aspirants the secrets of the trade. His masterclasses have helped over 400 students make over $50,000 collectively in the last three months alone.

As a teacher, Darrin uses his authenticity to his advantage. He believes that house flipping is a reliable side hustle that one can use to boost their income and pay off debts while making more money to take home. Other flipping gurus are quick to tell their students to go into real estate full-time.

Similarly, while other gurus take up weeks to complete their courses, Darrin needs only four full days of his students’ time to launch them into flipping. Darrin gives his students action items and homework to prepare them for the following day. A considerate teacher, he also ensures that all lines of communication between him and his students are open to any questions they may have.

What has become a six-figure business for him started because he wanted to prove to others that there are no prerequisites to entering real-estate flipping. Many people think that flipping requires tons of money, good credit, and even a real estate license. There also exists the odd notion that one needs experience in construction to start flipping houses. Darrin Smith is real proof that there are no requirements to become a real-estate flipper. The full-time government employee earns $10,000 to $20,000 a month in real estate alone.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, house flipping has sustained an increased appeal. In his masterclasses, Darrin teaches students how to flip properties without physically meeting with any buyer or seller.
