With a deep commitment to providing quality services, accountability, compassion, and research-based treatments to all his patients, Dr. Adel Quttainah is leading Quttainah Medical Center into the future with confidence. Using the most advanced equipment, employing highly-skilled and well-experienced medical staff, and using the most advanced medical innovations available today, Dr. Quttainah is the first clinic to provide cosmetic medicine and cosmetic surgery under one corporate umbrella in Kuwait.

As a man of vision, Dr. Adel Quttainah is working toward making Quttainah Medical Center the one-stop shop of choice for clients in and outside of Kuwait. Accomplishing this means upholding their commitment to providing the best possible care in both cosmetic medicine and surgery. By continuously using evidence-based medicine treatment protocols that meet international standards, the Quttainah Medical Center is bound to become the leading center for cosmetic medicine and surgery in Asia and the world.

“We are the leading aesthetic surgery institution. People from all over the Middle East/ Arabian Gulf area flock to our centers to have their aesthetic surgery. We are a one-stop solution for a patient’s aesthetic needs and we offer everything from cosmetic dentistry, hair transplantation, laser centers, skin care and anti-aging procedures, full-blown cosmetic surgery, dermatology, and weight reduction centers,” says Dr. Adel Quttainah.

Dr. Adel Quttainah is an internationally trained and well-experienced cosmetic and reconstructive microsurgeon. He is also best known as a leading cosmetic surgeon and one of several consultant microsurgeons who perform free tissue transfer with perforator flaps in the Middle East. As this is a very delicate procedure, one has to be highly trained to perform such an intricate operation, and Dr. Quttainah is one of the few who painstakingly took the time to be educated in this kind of practice.

His initial medical training took place at the National University of Ireland–University of College Cork and eventually completed his five-year residency program on plastic and reconstructive surgery at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. Upon graduating, Dr. Adel Quttainah joined the University of Toronto for a microsurgery fellowship, dealing mostly with breast reconstruction using free tissue transfer and perforator flaps and free muscle transfer for facial reanimation post-facial paralysis.

After his University of Toronto Fellowship, he then proceeded to acquire an aesthetic fellowship with Dr. Lloyd Carlsen in Woodbridge, Ontario. Afterward, Dr. Adel Quttainah went on to join a clinical research fellowship with Dr. James Bain at the Hamilton General Hospital in Ontario.

After so much training and exposure to his unique practice of choice, he returned to the Middle East in 2003 and became head of the Plastic Surgery Department at SAAD Hospital in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. After some time, he went back to Kuwait, where he established the Cosmetic Surgery Clinic, which was known to be one of the first private aesthetic surgery clinics in Kuwait. Word of Dr. Adel Quttainah’s admirable performance as a surgeon spread like wildfire across the Middle East, and soon, he was attracting clients from different parts of the continent.

In the coming years, Dr. Adel Quttainah sees himself expanding in the Middle East and bringing his services closer to many of his clients. Doing this would translate to big savings to his Middle Eastern clients who no longer have to go all the way to Kuwait to avail of his expertise.
