Jackie King, executive director of the Pet Care Trust, while sharing the commendable results said that the Pets in the Classroom program has not just improved the academic performance of kids but it has also contributed to improving their overall personality. The study highlights that students have been able to learn important social skills and their social competence has improved significantly.

Students have inculcated communication, cooperation, assertion, responsibility, and self-control in the presence of pets in their classrooms. On the other hand, the opposite results were observed in the study in classrooms without pets. After seeing remarkable results in children, many parents are also paying attention to keeping pets at their homes to help their children develop in a better way.
