Destiny 2 will no longer be accessible on Battle.net after its relocation on the new platform, Steam, in October 2019. On its official website, Destiny 2 developer Bungie posted to ask players to move their characters, rewards, purchases, and gear from Battle.net to Steam.

Bungie will start the process of linking players’ account for enabling the transfer on August 20. And a two-week window is given to them for sorting the Guardians and make them ready for Oct. 1 launch. The news of Destiny 2 no longer accessible on Battle.net has left the fans of the game in a state full of distress.

And the decision of shifting Destiny 2 on Steam has been taken following the split between Bungie and Activision after an 8-year-long partnership. In the year 2010, both Bungie and Activision entered a partnership to deliver four games and four expansions. But things didn’t go as per the plan and the shipment was set back for a year. Then, Destiny came into existence in 2014 and Destiny 2 released in 2017.

Destiny general manager Mark Noseworthy said that the game should be available to be played on many different platforms. He said that Destiny 2 will be available on Epic Games to enable players to play this game. With the transfer of Destiny 2 to Steam, the release of Shadowkeep, the fourth DLC for the game will take place. New quests and missions will be there for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Along with this, there will be new dungeons and destinations for players of this game. In addition to this, a new raid and a season pass for the Season of the Undying will be available.
