Puerto Rico has entered the list of the US states where sports betting is legal. Governor Ricardo Rossello signed the law to legalize sports betting in Puerto Rico so that people of the US state can enjoy sports betting services, fantasy sports, and eSports.

According to the Representative, Nestor Alonso, the step has been taken to boost tourism so as to improve the economic development for the island. In Puerto Rico, only 7% tax on gross gaming revenue for retail sportsbooks will be levied which would make Puerto Rico impose one of the lowest sports betting taxes in the US. Whereas online sportsbooks will be subjected to a tax of 12%.

In its released statement, Governor Ricardo Rossello said this new law on sports betting will help Puerto Rico become an innovative jurisdiction which would help the local economy of the state. He expressed that the island will become an international spot for sports betting and it will attract people from all across the world.

Over the last decade, many online casino services have become into existence all across the world. The success of ufabet has simply contributed to inspire many other online casino operators in different corners of the world. Similar to Ufa, a lot of other online gambling sources have been established to increase the revenue of the native place through sports betting services.

Since the upliftment of the ban on sports betting last year, many US states have legalized the sports betting. And some of the states have pending legislation. The motive behind legalizing gambling in the US states is to allow people to visit these states to take part in sports betting. Not just offline betting, but online betting will also contribute to increasing the revenue of the states on a large scale.
