During the pandemic, when most companies were shutting down, Ray Ramirez was busy growing his real estate business. Today, he is remodeling a waterfront property in Massapequa, New York. This is one of the many exciting projects that have become milestones in his success story.
At the age of 20, Ray Ramirez had given up on his career in sales and started working for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). It gave him decent pay and some incredible benefits, despite him having no high school diploma. He saved his checks for the next two years and helped his parents buy their first home in Jamaica, Queens. “The gentleman who sold us our house was a house flipper,” recollects Ray Ramirez. “I immediately took an interest in this profession and decided to explore it as a career.”
After buying the house for his parents, he had no money in his bank account. However, he started reading books to educate himself on all matters related to real estate. He learned how to wholesale real estate contracts. In this process, he was able to strike some good deals and ended up making 500k in just a year. With all this money, he jumped into the real estate flipping business and has never looked back.
As the owner of a successful real estate company, Ray Ramirez now has multiple homes that generate significant passive income. He also offers an affordable real estate course for aspiring real estate investors. “Success to me is the ability to be financially free. Most people are stuck chasing careers; they will most likely die working only to live paycheck to paycheck,” says Ramirez.
Just like any other industry, real estate has its share of challenges. As a young man who was new to this industry sometime back, Ray Ramirez had to deal with people with deep pockets. Many tried to bully him out of this business, but he always stood his ground and fought for what he wanted in life.
