Born to Palestinian immigrants, Rahib arrived in the United States as a one year old with the rest of her family to avoid being caught up in the internal violence of the volatile nation and build a new happy life.
A Sheep or a Wolf?
Rahib took to the United States like a duck to water – or a wolf to red meat – and, despite her reputation as a class clown, she also buckled down when it came to academics. Gliding through high school, Rahib arrived at university to study biology and pursue a career in her first love, the sciences.
Upon graduation, Rahib was easily able to find a job in what she thought was her ideal environment – the lab. However, the role was not all she imagined, and Rahib felt unmotivated, unchallenged, and ultimately, unfulfilled. Rahib had also discovered something else about herself; she was a wolf, not a sheep. A leader, not a follower.
“Dude, I just hated working there and was bored by being in the lab all day,” she said. “I decided to halt my aspirations to gain a master’s degree and find something else that would allow me not to have a boss.”
After leaving the world of scientific research, Rahib knew she had to strike out on her own. However, finding a position where she could apply her education, charisma, and energy was difficult, and tough times were around the corner.
Out of work, miserable, and living off of food stamps, the future millionaire struggled with anxiety before things began to look up for her.
Exploring Her Potential
But Rahib would not struggle for long. While working as a debt collector, Rahib discovered one of her colleagues also worked in real estate. Enthused by their description of life as a realtor and the potential income that could be made, the ambitious young entrepreneur decided she would try it out.
Just a year after living on food stamps, Rahib qualified for her real estate license and was soon a very competitive realtor, making lots of money and thriving in a role where independence and a big personality are encouraged. However, something still wasn’t right.
“I wanted to make money while I was sleeping, on vacation, or spending time with family and friends,” Rahib explained. “I was banking on deals to close, and my fate was in the hands of people buying or selling homes. I wanted more control, and I wanted my money to work for me rather than the other way around.”
Taking the $50,000 she had saved from selling property, the young businesswoman invested all her capital into her first business as a trader on Amazon. Rahib immediately made an impact and made half a million dollars in her first year.
Finding Her Final Form
Sounds good, right? But that was just the beginning. After Amazon changed its business terms to become less lucrative for sellers, Rahib was not happy. Instead of sucking it up and taking less profit, she began hunting for a new selling method.
In 2018, Rahib had left Amazon and invested in developing her own website and online store, powered by Shopify. In the first three months of operating the online shop, Rahib had made more than 1 million dollars, and with no signs of slowing down, the orders just kept on coming.
Before long, Rahib had acquired an office building, warehouse space, and multiple rental properties in Florida and Indiana. She also had built a passive income that allowed her to travel and, ultimately, the freedom to live her best life.
With success comes recognition, and soon Rahib was being approached by others to divulge the secrets of her success and how to replicate it. These encounters inspired the next phase of Rahib’s career. Leaning into her position as an industry thought leader and mentor to young business people, Rahib evolved into her final form, The Ecom Wolf.
