Trippy Ja from the suburbs of Philadelphia started working with the local artists Cubbage and Werdplay in music production. The percussionist was noticed by multiple giant names in the music industry as he gave multiple hit singles.
And then came a trail of amazing work where he started producing beats for worldwide idols Jban$2Turnt, Cam Meekins, 24hrs, and the YBN collective.
Having played drums and guitar for an alternative rock band across Pennsylvania and New York, Trippy Ja had no proper background of Hip Hop or Rock. But when the artist started working with Philly-based rapper Werdplay, he started combining his style with rock and rap.
Together with their unique sound the pair reached a wider and new type of audience making the industry notice them.
Today Trippy Ja’s tracks have over a million streams across Spotify, Apple Music, and SoundCloud. After the collaboration with Lil Yatchy’s brother Jban$2Turnt in the single ‘Gang’ everyone paid attention to Trippy’s production skills.
More collaborations were in order like the one with artist YBN Nahmir on the hit single ‘Imma Ball’ which trended with over a million streams on SoundCloud in the first month itself.
With his album ‘The Come Up’, Trippy Ja has pushed artists out of their comfort zones and got them to work in multiple genres. The multiple artists in the album developed new innovative sounds.
Trippy Ja’s fame skyrocketed in England with his first official deal with New York and London label ‘45’. His fan base is rapidly growing which has allowed him to purchase his own recording studio and work with a bigger team.
