Since the history of mankind, it was commonly known that a person’s best friend was a dog. They were around for many years throughout history, and they were used for various reasons. Pharaohs, kings, queens, and very noticeable people owned dogs.

For example, the Italian president is known for owning a large number of the cane-Corso breed. It all comes down to what you need. In history, it has been noticed that some species were used for hunting, some were used in wars, others were used just for showing off, etc.

This article is about some of the breeds that are very popular nowadays. Maybe with some of them, you will be unfamiliar. Hopefully, this article will help you acquire more knowledge about a specific breed.

If you want to continue reading, you should check out the following link for more information regarding this topic https://www.care.com/c/stories/6094/101-facts-about-dogs-you-might-not-know/.

The bulldog

The history of bulldogs is a bit tragic because they were once used for bullbaiting. But things have changed a lot, and now they make one hell of a buddy that will give their maximum effort to love you so much.

Although they are purebred, many can be found in shelters because people just do not want to take care of them. Always remember to adopt if you are decided to get yourself a dog. All they want is a home, attention, and love.

Bulldogs can become your best buddy in a short period of time because they are affectionate with their owners. If you are a novice owner, they can adapt to you quickly, as you will adapt to them.

They are not known for being trouble-makers, as some breeds can be hyperactive. On the contrary, bulldogs just want to chill. They are known for taking naps often anywhere they can, and they are not the biggest fan when it comes to exercising.

They want to take short, slow walks and often need resting because their lazy butt gets too tired fast. If you have other pets in your home, they might show off in front of them because they do not like other pets as much.

But be sure that if you train them properly, they can adapt to any situation. If you have children in your home, they are going to love them so much. Because small kids often take naps during the day, bulldogs are going to love them because of that.

If they find themselves a partner that tends to sleep often, they will immediately become best buddies. Three types of bulldogs are most famous: French, English, and American bulldog. They are different breeds, but all of them have similar characteristics. Want to read more on how to train a bulldog? If so, click on this link.

Beagles

These tiny fellows are hardy and compact and can make great friends with anyone. They are known for being great with kids, and of course, adults. Beagles are very fun, merry, and overall, very loving. On the other hand, because they are hounds, they can be very stubborn, and you should be very patient with them.

When it comes to training them, you need to be patient a lot because of the stubbornness, and you should use some techniques just for hounds. A popular fact about hounds is their nose has very sensitive sensing, and it will guide them through anything in life.

They were used a lot for hunting rabbits and hare, and nowadays, in some countries, they are still used for this exact reason. However, some people just want them as a companion in life, and they make great ones.

They are a very intelligent breed; thus, they require special training. When it comes to grooming, they do not have a thick coat, and because of that, they are easy to groom. Because they are highly active dogs, they require vast amounts of exercise. Do not leave them alone, and take them often for walks and running.

They are not the type of dogs that can be alone, so take note that you should always spend time with them. Like any pet, they need so much attention and love—one more reason why you should never leave them alone because they are stolen quite often.

Make sure to have them microchipped, and never leave them out of sight. People that steal them are often selling them to laboratories to experiment on them. It was mentioned above about their nose, and if they sense something interesting to them, they will immediately go for it.

Their nose takes control over their brain quickly, and if they sense something they are fond of, they forget about anything else in the world and will focus on the sense immediately and will start to follow it.

In conclusion, if you want to read additional information about them, you can look on the internet like this theholistapet canineslist that will provide more details about a particular breed. Even if you do not want to get a dog, you should always learn more stuff about pets as they are the best companion in life.

It does not matter which breed you get, as long as you spend time with them. Take extra care of them because all these furballs want is love. Beagles are prone to diseases and should be checked regularly into the vet’s office.
