Taylor Swift is all Set to Perform at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards

Taylor Swift is going to perform at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards for the first time since 2015. This will the first major televised performance of the singer following the release of her seventh studio album, Lover, which will release on August 23. And Taylor Swift is entitled to receive 10 awards at the 2019 MTV Video Awards. The new awards show will be broadcasted from Newark and New Jersey on the 26th of August. The 2019 MTV VMAs will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and the Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco will host the ceremony.

Since her performance on “Bad Blood”, Taylor Swift has not attended many awards shows and she was absent in 2017 awards while promoting for the album Reputation. And for her 2015 performance on “Bad Blood,” she received the award for Video of the Year. Taylor Swift is going to perform with Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift is up for 10 VMAs this year, including video of the year, the song of the year and video for good.

This year, the number of nominations for her is the same as that in the year 2015. Her song, “You Need to Calm Down” earned seven nods and the song, “Bad Blood” received eight nods. Taylor has collected a total of seven MTV VMAs throughout her music career. Out of these, three are for the best female video awards for “You Belong with Me,” “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “Blank Space.” She also received two best collaboration awards for “Bad Blood” and “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” and one video of the year award for “Bad Blood.”
