The American Association of Blacks in Higher Education (AABHE) is thrilled to announce the election of Dr. Jack Thomas to its Board of Directors for the 2024-2026 term.
AABHE is the preeminent organization dedicated to championing leadership development, access to higher education, and providing vital information for Black individuals and institutions within academia. Dr. Thomas, an AABHE fundraising and outreach expert, brings a wealth of experience to the role.
As a Board Member, Dr. Thomas will work collaboratively with the Executive Director to spearhead corporate donation initiatives, bolster community outreach efforts, and secure sponsorships that fuel AABHE’s mission. Leveraging his over 30 years of experience in higher education, including distinguished service as a university president and academic leader, Dr. Thomas will also play a pivotal role in identifying achievements and critical issues impacting faculty, staff, and graduate students.
