Smart Buy Kitchen of SWFL is a family-owned business that has been providing exceptional cabinetry and countertops to the residents of Naples, Florida, for over a decade. The company was founded by Daniel Cuenya in 2006, and his legacy lives on through the quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service that Smart Buy Kitchen of SWFL continues to provide.

Daniel Osvaldo Cuenya was born on April 2, 1948, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He earned his Civil Engineering degree in 1972 at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and started his career working with his father at Cuenya Construction in Argentina. Throughout his career, Daniel was directly responsible for major projects worldwide, including a “turnkey Hospital” in Adbijan (Amalfi Coast, in Africa), a 1500-unit housing development in Buenos Aires, the 53-kilometer aqueduct in Santa Fe Province, the 28-story “Guemes’ Hospital” in Buenos Aires, the 6-story, 60,000 seat World Cup Soccer Stadium with highway interchange in Mar del Plata, and the 20-story Sheraton Hotel and Park Towers in Buenos Aires.

Daniel moved to the United States and, in 1999, received his Master of Civil Engineering, U.S., Certified Degree. Since then, he has taken numerous Corporate, Academic, and Florida State courses in Construction and Engineering, and he holds a Florida Certified General Contractor’s License. In 1998, he became President, CEO, Treasurer, and 50% Owner of Imperial Homes of Southwest Florida, Inc. Daniel was the Preferred Builder in Collier’s Reserve, where he built more than 40 homes. The first homes were in the 3,500 SF under Air to 8,500 SF under Air. He was also the Preferred Builder in “Isla Del Sol,” high-end homes in “Fiddler’s Creek,” “Tuscany Isle” at “The Colony Golf and Beach Club” in Estero, and “Quail West” for a market from 4,850 SF under Air to 12,000 SF under Air.

In August 2003, Daniel founded Cuenya Construction Company, a commercial and residential builder. As the President, CEO, and 100% owner, he oversaw the construction of professional offices, retail stores, high-end custom homes, as well as remodeling and additions. He continued to pursue his passion for construction and building, and in January 2006, he opened Smart Buy Kitchen of SWFL.

Smart Buy Kitchen of SWFL offers 100% wood cabinets with granite countertop fabrication, providing three lines of wood cabinets and built-ins with exceptional value. As the President and 100% Owner of the company, Daniel’s dedication to quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service remains at the heart of the business.

Daniel’s legacy lives on through the business he built and the values he instilled in his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Lizabeth Cuenya, whom he met in a prayer group at St. William Catholic Church. They were married on January 6, 2000. Daniel was a loving father to his seven children and a doting grandfather to his ten grandchildren.

Daniel was a man of great faith and spent much of his time serving his community. He was a professed “Carmelite” and Eucharist Minister at St. William Church. Daniel was also the Vice President and Membership Director of the “Legatus Chapter” in Naples and a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, where he served as Grand Knight.

Smart Buy Kitchen of SWFL has quickly become a staple in the Naples community, with customers from all over Florida coming to the showroom to see the beautiful custom cabinetry and countertops. But what truly sets Smart Buy Kitchen apart is the company’s commitment to quality and customer service.

Daniel Cuenya founded Smart Buy Kitchen in 2006 with the goal of providing high-quality cabinetry and countertops at affordable prices. He knew that many people in the Naples area wanted to update their kitchens but couldn’t afford the high prices charged by many custom cabinet makers. Daniel believed that everyone should be able to have a beautiful, functional kitchen, and he set out to make that a reality.

From the very beginning, Daniel made it a priority to work closely with his customers to understand their needs and preferences. He believed that every kitchen should be unique and tailored to the homeowner’s lifestyle. That’s why he offered a wide range of custom options, from the type of wood used for the cabinets to the finish on the countertops.

Smart Buy Kitchen quickly gained a reputation for quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Many customers were impressed with the showroom’s wide selection of products, as well as the helpful and knowledgeable staff. Daniel’s commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect of the business, from the quality of the materials used to the attention to detail in the installation process.

Even as the business grew, Daniel never lost sight of his commitment to customer service. He believed that every customer should feel like they were part of the Smart Buy Kitchen family, and he went out of his way to ensure that they were happy with the final result. Whether it was answering questions over the phone, helping customers choose the right products, or following up after the installation, Daniel and his team were always there for their customers.

Daniel Cuenya passed away in 2019, leaving behind a legacy of excellence in the Naples community. He was known not only for his business acumen but also for his kindness, generosity, and commitment to his family, faith, and community. His wife, Lizabeth, and their seven children continue to follow his footsteps with same dedication and passion that Daniel brought to his business.
