Christopher is uplifting the entire community through his different ventures.

The idea of social responsibility is becoming prevalent day by day. All the existing businesses are obligated to have a proper department where they can revert back to society in one form or the other. The new businesses that are evolving are thriving if they are based on the concept of reverting back to the community. This is what the world wants from us at the moment.

An activist entrepreneur, Christopher King, has been working towards the community through his three different ventures. He is an MBA, MPA, educator, and consultant. His academy “We Are Marcus” (WAM) was founded in 2016 to encourage mentoring relationships that can change relationships with people. Christopher believes that if the students in their childhood are traumatized then it impacts them when they try to grow in the professional phase. Self-doubt creeps in and then it becomes hard to alter the experiences that one has had. If a child is provided with a mentor who has been through a similar journey, they can feel that they are not alone and that there is hope for the kid to grow and become successful.

In continuation to this, he has launched the Black Excellence Sale that inspires and supports the fundraising of WAM Impact Partners. All students, families, educators, and allies can support their achievement by wearing the merchandise of WAM. The idea of WAM is to encourage the upliftment of people of color. There is a 16M mentor gap affecting today’s youth because existing mentoring programs cannot recruit or retain enough in-person mentors to connect with youth. The plan is to engage over 8M students by the end of 2025, and it is possible only when the people are interested in volunteering their story to connect virtually throughout. The merchandise includes shirts, hoodies, etc., that serve to spread awareness about the cause and connect as many people as they can.

Along with that Christopher has started Theo Advisors in 2020 to serve pre-cubator and post-accelerator diverse founders who are experiencing growing pains in their businesses. Here Christopher and his team provide proper consultation to the business and connect one business to another if they need so. They offer tailored advice from diverse investors and industry advisors without selling equity. They also offer founder advisory and use their expertise in education, healthcare, and real estate. This helps the aspiring founders get a space for themselves and execute their vision with proper feedback.

Christopher has a will to do good for society. He comes with a positive outlook towards life and every day he is working to achieve something that contributes to society. The noble causes for which Christopher works can be encouraged if people become open-minded to adopt his ideas and become a part of the cause full-heartedly. To know more about how We are Marcus works, have a look at their website and see for yourself if you can contribute to this journey too.
