Real Estate; an industry well known for being a “dog eat dog world”. As most people know, real estate is an extremely competitive industry, especially in the Denver area; with its blue skies and panoramic mountain views, Denver, a.k.a. The Mile High City is always one of the top cities for people to move to.

We have partnered up with Athena Brownson, a name widely known in the real estate market to learn more about how she navigates the world of Real Estate.

Who is Athena Brownson?

Athena Brownson, a Real Estate agent and team principle of The Vesta Collective at Compass Real Estate is considered an expert when it comes to buying or selling real estate properties.

A Colorado native, born and raised in a family filled with residential developers, builders, and interior designers, Athena started wandering around building sites and learning the ropes of real estate from a very young age.

With her remarkable academic achievements in art history and interior design from University of Colorado in Boulder, followed by an internship and job with an interior design firm, Athena went out on a limb and chose to get her real estate license in 2015.

She quickly started to mentor under the owner of the New Era Group, John Stegner and after four years she still appreciates working with such a motivating group of people.

Not only that but Athena was a professional skier for almost 10 years, skiing about 300 days a year chasing winter wherever it went. Prior to college she also had a very successful professional career.

About 4 years ago, Athena was diagnosed with Lyme disease along with several co-infections from a tick bite at some point in her life. This disease quickly and brutally wiped out her immune system causing multiple autoimmune diseases that unfortunately she is in the midst of battling today.

She currently receives plasma transfusions every three weeks through a port in her chest in order to keep her body from attacking itself yet, she still managed to be in the top 15% of brokers in the country according to Homesnap.

Now what is The Vesta Collective?

Veste being the Roman goddess of the home – never portrayed in female form but portrayed by the hearth of the home (the central gathering place that brings people together) is where Athena has had the opportunity to mentor newer agents and bring them onto her team providing real tangible opportunities to learn in an industry that lacks apprenticeship.

Now of course being a broker, Athena has had the privilege of assisting buyers, sellers, investors and developers across all demographics and across the spectrum from first time homebuyers or sellers to seasoned pros who have been investing for years.

Athena’s goal more than anything is to build strong and lifelong relationships with her clients allowing her to become their trusted advisor for all of their Real Estate needs throughout their lifetime, not just one transaction.

Ventured into the world of real estate, Athena invests wholeheartedly in helping her clients with such essential minutes in their lives through buying or selling their homes.

As per Athena, “I take my role as a real estate advisor and financial advocate very seriously and will also provide my clients with any resources that they need for absolutely anything they need or any questions they have when buying, selling, investing or developing property.”

She loves the opportunity to grow with her clients and be involved in the many chapters of their lives as real estate really does follow the many chapters of life and what greater comfort could a client have than having their “go to” broker that they know will always have their best interest at heart.

She thrives in being able to accommodate whatever her clients needs are which allows her to serve the greatest number of people and not pigeonhole herself into just helping one specific type of client.

Athena has had dozens of success stories over the past several years in which her clients are going up against several other offers on properties and come out victorious and she attributes this to having years of experience in writing a very strong contract and being able to educate her clients on what elements are going to be necessary in order for them to win the property as well as being very realistic and communicative with all parties in regards to their offer.

“I love creating a relationship in which my clients trust me to always have their best interest at heart.” Athena stated.

Going from a high level athlete to fighting for her life on a daily basis, although completely different and difficult to grasp, both are built on pushing herself and her determination.

Lets build your wealth. Let’s build something great. – Athena Brownson
