Armando Leduc, the CEO of Leduc Entertainment, knows from firsthand experience that finding one’s true passion is a lengthy trial-and-error journey.

Before starting his career in entertainment, Leduc “had 70 plus jobs,” as he anecdotally admitted between chuckles in an interview with Luis Scott. Scott is the host of The Guts and Glory Show, the managing partner of Bader Scott Injury Lawyers, and the founder of 8 Figure Firm Consulting.

Leduc was the guest in the latest episode of The Guts and Glory Show. In this episode, Leduc discussed the keys to discovering one’s life passion.

For Scott, this podcast episode was inspiring. Scott and Educ have known each other for over 20 years; the two entrepreneurs met in the ‘90s when each of them moved into Grovetown, Georgia.

In each weekly episode, Scott profiles leaders and entrepreneurs who had the guts to confront adversity in their search for glory. After 17 episodes, the time was due for Scott to interview his childhood friend.

Leduc has an over 20-year career in the entertainment industry. He is an award-winning writer, director, and producer who has participated in 50 cinematic productions. Today, Leduc’s company, Leduc Entertainment, is a leader in visual content marketing.

However, Leduc had to work in multiple other jobs before finding his true passion.

“I went from being a health and safety officer at the Tuscaloosa Mercedes Benz plant to selling door to door Kirby vacuum cleaners and Cutco knives,” said Leduc.

Many can relate to the feeling of incertitude of not knowing one’s life purpose. When Scott asked Leduc how people might live a life congruent with who they are, Leduc emphasized the importance of “nurturing what sticks.”

“People in their 20s and 30s must try different things and see what ‘sticks on the wall,’” said Leduc. “Don’t be afraid of failure because every failure is a learning experience.”

Leduc reflected on the intricacy of discovering oneself. Before finding one’s passion and achieving professional growth, one must remain consistent in the mids of failure, accepting failure as part of the journey.

Concluding the episode, Scott and Leduc identified three habits that were essential in their personal nurturing process.  For the two entrepreneurs, having a mentor, reading consistently, and cultivating their skills were pivotal for their success.

“A lot of people do not know how to grow,” explained Scott. “Get a mentor, read some books, and develop your skills because financial growth comes from growing your value. The more you grow your value, the more valuable you become.”

In each episode of The Guts and Glory Show, Scott interviews successful leaders and entrepreneurs like Leduc. Listen to more of The Guts and Glory Show on Spotify to learn the secrets to success from the experts.
