Ivan Paniagua, internationally renowned as Ivan B, first strung notes in his freshman year of high school. Growing up a few miles from San Francisco in Northern California’s Bay Area, Ivan was surrounded by music all his life, and he quickly developed a deep interest in it.
Instead of initially pursuing music, he threw himself into work. After graduating from San Rafael High School, Ivan B decided to finally pursue his dream—but first, he needed the funds. So, while perfecting his craft and making music in a small bedroom closet, Ivan sought employment as a busboy and waiter at a local retirement home. He did all this while earning a degree at the Santa Rosa Junior College.
Anyone would have struggled juggling these multiple responsibilities, but Ivan remained resolute. Three years later, he released his debut album, Forgive Me for My Honesty, a chart-topping hit. Snagging the 10th spot in the iTunes charts, Ivan B caught the eye of industry leaders and captivated a devoted fanbase.
Without a label nor budget, the then-fresh-faced artist stood atop the industry in an unprecedented feat – and he realized a dream to pull others to his level. Steering his music toward a newfound destination, Ivan B went on to unveil his second album, Remains, and numerous hit singles such as “Stay,” “Didn’t Know Better (feat. Breana Marin),” and “Our Time Together (feat. Maria Elizabeth).”
Last April 2, 2021, Ivan B launched his latest full-length album, Frames. Similar to his published discography, the collection carries themes of self-belief and, according to the artist, “has a heavy message of pushing past regrets, while recognizing how much we subconsciously hold on to them.”
By motivating his listeners to break free of hesitations, doubts, and troubled past, the 25-year old artist has helped thousands gain the courage and strength to pursue their dreams – and, as the years roll by, this number only grows.
At present, Ivan B has attracted nearly half a million monthly listeners on Spotify. He has made it this far all on his own, which is why he’s convinced his audience can do so as well. While putting forward real heart-driven music with clean, non-explicit lyrics, Ivan is also preparing for an upcoming show.
Making his onstage debut, the artist will be headlining a show in Los Angeles this November 4, 2021, at the “Catch One” venue. The performance is set to be the first of many as Ivan and his team prepare for a full-length tour sometime next year.
