Your Story Is Quite A Unique One: Published Photographer, Real Estate Investor, and now Lifestyle Influencer in Dubai. What is your formal education?
My formal education is in digital media and communications. I went to University in the US and studied super-8mm film, directing, producing, editing, cinematography and 35mm film photography. I went from film to digital and got hands-on digital and practical training, in photography and video production, post-production and editing with basic graphic design and animation techniques. Saying it all actually seems like a lot, lol.
But you have taken on more careers than just photography, right?
I started working for an REO/BO Real Estate company where I would photograph these specialized properties. Then I started working full-time for a real estate investment company and went to school to get my real estate sales associate certification. I had quite a career working up from an assistant to the coo of an investment firm, all while taking my portraiture photography career and focusing on property photography.
Give us the details about how Nova Prime PR came to exist?
My work stated to get published in magazines and my connections began to grow. I started Nova Prime to help models, other photographers and even brand to get published. It was my passion project. I have placed my clients in magazines like Maxim Australia, Playboy Croatia, FHM Indonesia.
You have been published yourself. Care to share?
When I count my career total, I’ve been published in over 44 pictorials in 12 countries. That may seem like a lot but it’s over the course of over 8 years. Esquire Bulgaria, Maxim Italia, Playboy Philippines, and FHM India are among some of my more notable pictorial placements.
So now you’re in an Influencer in Dubai?
I moved to Dubai with my family a few years ago and decided to use my photography skills as a digital content creator for brands. At this point I’ve worked with a few notable brands like Nokia, Empire Movies, Nars Cosmetics, Fujifilm, Dell Computers and even UAE Tourism Boards. I’ve curated some of my content on social media and now it has grown to be considered influential. For the past year, I have been a contributing beauty writer for WKND magazine with 8 articles published at this point. I was an official Ambassador for the Middle East Film and Comic Con this year, which was a rather expanding experience.
Do you focus only on your lifestyle content now?
I’ve actually been really active online in general. I also have been shooting in the hospitality sector, contributing to TripAdvisor, Zomato.com, and growing to over 1 million views as a Google Local Guide. I really like to work with restaurants and hotels on expanding their reach and adding photo/video content to their social media accounts and websites. I always love to keep expanding into new things. My social media account is very lifestyle driven, but I am looking into focusing on a beauty you tube account and a movies/entertainment podcast. I was recently featured on 103.8 Dubai Eye radio with Helen Farmer talking about multitasking my life. I can’t wait to see what 2020 will bring!
