Ottawa’s rising hip-hop star, Lindasson, is back with his new single “Forever Loner Baby.” The new single is an up-tempo and high energy view into Lindasson complex life.
With this new track, Lindasson really wanted to express a new side of himself, “What’s love? I think it’s bittersweet. Too much, might get the best of me”.
This has been a busy year for Lindasson. In January, Lindasson released a track called “A Lot” with longtime collaborators Night Lovell and FTG Reggie. To date, the track has amassed over 5.5M total streams globally and the official video has over 2.4M total views. The track and the video received a lot of praise from sources like Lyrical Lemonade, HotNewHipHop, HipHop Canada and Shifter Magazine. Following the release of “A Lot”, Lindasson released three more videos including the official video for “Toes”, the highest streaming single from his self-titled debut album which was released in December of 2020.
In April of this year, Lindasson was on the cover of the Ottawa Citizen’s entertainment section. The article provided an in depth story on Linadsson’s journey to becoming the artist he is today, and the article is quoted as saying this about him: “for many of the kids of Caldwell, Shymar Brewster [Lindasson] is no doubt a source of inspiration. He went from dribbling at their community court to a full-ride scholarship to play college basketball in the U.S. — one of the first from their neighbourhood to do so.”
Just a few weeks ago, Lindasson was featured in a new CBC Music series titled “Beyond The 6”, which focuses on highlighting Canadian Hip-Hop artists outside of Toronto. Lindasson recorded a stripped down version of his single “Demon Steven” and the article goes on to say “In a few short years, Lindasson has established himself as a multi-talented presence in the Ottawa hip-hop scene, initially gaining attention as a producer but now commanding attention as an artist in his own right.”
