Hair Meds Builds a Culture of Giving through Hair Products and More

Some companies have missions that go deeper than their surface value. For revolutionary company Hair Meds, that deeper “why” is to create a culture of giving. And while its expression is to provide the best hair care results in the market, everything it does goes back to giving back to people and communities as a business.

Hair Meds is a line of hair care formulas bent on giving women the best performing products that help them feel beautiful and confident. It started as a personal project and would later explode into a massive business that has built a loyal customer base and continues to expand nationally and globally. All in all, the business stands for more than simply hair care formulas.

Company founder and CEO Anissa Cox puts it this way: “All in all, Hair Meds is about giving— giving my past self the natural hair products I wished I had, giving my customers the ability to achieve healthy and gorgeous hair, and giving everyone a shot at a fulfilling life.”

The idea for Hair Meds first came to Anissa back in 2018 after she spent a great deal of her time and energy fighting for her life. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which would result in massive hair loss as a side effect of the treatments and medications. After desperately trying to find quality hair care products that were natural and results-bearing, Anissa would decide to create an original life of products that would give her the expected outcome.

After realizing that countless women were going through the same or indirectly adjacent ordeals, the cancer survivor would then decide to go all-in on her venture and make Hair Meds a calling. “I decided to help myself and all the other people out there like me and to make my own line of natural hair care products,” the company’s founder explains.

Beyond giving women better hair care, Hair Meds takes it up a notch by adding a socially responsible element to its activities. Specifically, the company commits and donates a portion of its proceeds to worthy causes close to Anissa’s heart. For every product purchased at Hair Meds, the organization contributes to helping people with various forms of cancer through The American Cancer Society. Moreover, Hair Meds also gives to many other causes to help those in need, including March of Dimes, Autism Speaks, and other charities. More than anything, these non-profit causes are close to Anissa Cox’s heart and hold high significance because they address issues close to her and her loved ones.

“Everyone deserves long and healthy hair as well as a long and healthy life,” Anissa puts it plainly. Accordingly, Hair Meds commits to providing more innovation and customer satisfaction in health, hair care, philanthropic efforts, and many other ventures. The company officially launched amidst COVID-19 restrictions last year after two years of conceptualization and research. In such a little time, it has grown immensely and become a force to be reckoned with in the hair care industry both in America and overseas.

Customers continue to patronize Hair Meds’ products and brands for their superb performance and worthy causes. Anissa Cox hopes to expand more in the future and carry other brands that will also further her mission to give to others through this venture she has an extreme passion for.
